HURRICANE WARNING Vol. 15 , No. 3 The official newsletter of the Carolina Hurricanes Booster Club Apr 2015 Hurricanes Alumni Visit the Booster Club Jesse Boulerice, Niclas Wallin Talk with the Boosters Before 4th Annual Alumni Game Carl Schreck, Donna Jo Stephenson with “The Secret Weapon”: Former Hurricanes player former Hurricanes player Jesse Boulerice. Nic Wallin with Suzanne Hagen. Jesse is a financial advisor with Merill Lynch. Wallin helped the Canes win the Stanley Cup in 2006. Prior to the Rangers game on March 21st, the Carolina Hurricanes Booster Club members in attendance at the pregame reception got to interact with former Hurricanes players Jesse Boulerice and Niclas Wallin. Both appeared in the 4th Annual Carolina Hurricanes Alumni Game at PNC Arena. Jesse Boulerice played professional hockey for 16 years including stops with 4 NHL teams (Philadelphia Flyers, Carolina Hurricanes, St Louis Blues, and the Edmonton Oilers). Following his retirement in 2011, Jesse joined Merill Lynch as a Financial Advisor. His retirement after all those years of being labeled as an enforcer took its toll on Boulerice’s enthusiasm for the game. Last September, when he coached a RYHA Y14 team, it brought back the passion he once had. Hurricanes Alumni - Continued on page 7. We will be making a donation to the Carolina Hurricanes Kids N’ Mark Hall Community Foundation in the amount of $250 from the funds raised from fan voting. Carolina Hurricanes Booster Club From our team-signed jersey raffles, we raised enough funds to make a P. O. Box 20776 Raleigh, N. C. 27619 donation to the Carolina Hurricanes Youth Hockey Camps, providing $1,000 in www.hurricanesboosters.org scholarship money towards creating the possibility for a future NHL star! We’ve had some great visitors this season including the Florida Panthers For the latest CHBC news, Booster Club and the New Jersey follow us: Devils Fan Club. We have also had some nice visits from our out of town members such as Jenny Lana and @CHBCHurricanes Brendan Spatafora. The team had to get on the bus and get back to Charlotte for two games against the Oklahoma City Barons the next two nights.
