COACH Q Joel Quenneville enters his first season as head coach of the Florida Panthers. He owns an 890-532-77-137 career record as a head coach in the NHL, and his 890 regular season wins are the second most in NHL history. Quenneville is a four-time champion, with three championships won as a head coach. With over 20 years of NHL head coaching experience with STL (1996-97 to 2003-04), COL (2005-06 to 2007-08) and CHI (2008-09 to 2018-19). In the Stanley Cup , the native of Windsor, , has amassed a 118-97 record over 215 postseason contests as head coach. Quenneville guided the team that Dale Tallon helped construct in to Stanley Cup victories in 2010, 2013 and 2015 during a historic 10-year run with the Blackhawks and is one of only 11 head coaches in NHL history to win the Stanley Cup on three occasions. In the salary cap era, Quenneville is the only NHL head coach to win the Stanley Cup three times.

BOBROVSKY, YOU'RE ON THE CASE! Two-time recipient (2012-13 and 2016-17) Sergei Bobrovsky enters his first season with FLA, his 10th NHL season overall. Bobrovsky posted his second consecutive 37-win season in 2018-19, going 37-24-0. He had a career-best nine , which led the NHL. He also notched six wins in 10 NHL playoff games and owned a .925 . Since 2016-17, Bobrovsky is tied for second in the NHL in save percentage (.922), tied for third in goals-against average (2.35), and has started the second-most games (189). The Novokuznetsk, Russia, native stopped 25 of 29 shots Oct. 3 at TBL in his debut with FLA.

OH , MY CAPTAIN In 2018-19, Panthers captain Aleksander Barkov broke ’s 19-year-standing franchise single-season points record (94, 1999-00) by posting 96 points (35-61-96). Barkov set career-bests in power-play goals (13) and power-play points (31). He was also the recipient of the 2018-19 Lady Byng Memorial Trophy, becoming the youngest European winner in NHL history. The 23-year-old native of Tampere, , led Florida in multi-goal games (7) and face-off win percentage (53.7%), and ranked second in the NHL in takeaways (100). His 96 points were most among all Finnish NHLers in 2018-19.

JONNY B. GOOD Jonathan Huberdeau enters his eighth season with Florida after a record-breaking 2018-19 campaign. He set the franchise-record for single-season assists (62) and had personal bests in goals (30), assists, points (92), powerplay goals (11), and powerplay points (37). Huberdeau is only the fourth-ever Panther to post a 90-point season, along with Aleksander Barkov, Pavel Bure, and . The Saint-Jerome, Quebec, native registered two hits and three shots and Oct. 3 at TBL.

NEW STRALMAN ON CAMPUS Anton Stralman posted 17 points (2-15-17) in 47 games with Tampa Bay in 2018-19, his 13th NHL season. He has appeared in two separate , in 2013-14 with NYR and in 2014-15 with TBL. The 33-year-old native of Tibro, Sweden, had the third- highest average time-on-ice (20:31) among Lightning defensemen last season. Stralman blocked two shots Oct. 3 at TBL.

CONN AIR Brett Connolly enters his first season with Florida, his ninth NHL season overall. Connolly won a Stanley Cup with in 2017-18, posting nine points (6-3-9) in 24 playoff games. He posted career-bests in goals (22), assists (24), and points (46) in 2018-19 with Washington, and scored the third-most even-strength goals on the Capitals (21). He was fifth on Washington in shooting percentage (15.8%). In seven playoff games, Connolly scored two goals. He registered his first assist of the year on Mike Hoffman's goal Oct. 3 at TBL.

NOEL’S GOALS Noel Acciari posted a career-best in points (14) in 2018-19 with Boston, notching six goals and eight assists. His 221 hits led the Bruins and ranked 12th in the NHL. The 27-year old native of Johnston, R.I., also appeared in 19 playoff games en route to a Stanley Cup Final appearance with Boston, posting four points (2-2-4).

IRON YANDS Keith Yandle enters his fourth season with Florida as the NHL’s current “Iron Man” streak holder, having played in 798 consecutive NHL games (fifth all-time). Florida’s representative at the 2019 NHL All-Star Game, Yandle set the franchise record for single-season points (62) and assists (53) by a defenseman and single-season power-play points (39) in 2018-19. His 62 points were fifth-most among all NHL defensemen, and his 31 power-play points were third-most.

BREAKING ‘BLAD Aaron Ekblad finished the 2018-19 season tied for first in the NHL in most shifts per-game (30.1) and led Florida with 1,989:49 total TOI. He also registered his fifth straight 10-plus goal season and notched 37 points (13-24-37) in 82 games. The Windsor, Ontario native led Florida in preseason assists (4) and is tied for second in points (0-4-4) over four preseason games. Ekblad registered his first assist of the year on Vincent Trocheck's short-handed goal Oct. 3 at TBL and led FLA in TOI (23:50).

HOFF AND RUNNING Mike Hoffman scored FLA's first goal of the regular season Oct. 3 at TBL. He led the Panthers in goals (36) and power-play goals (17) in 2018-19, both of which were career-bests, becoming the highest-scoring first-year Panther in franchise history. His 70 points were tied for third-highest on the team with Evgenii Dadonov, behind Barkov (96) and Huberdeau (92). He also set the franchise record for consecutive games with at least one point, notching 20 points in 17 games from Oct. 13-Nov 21. Hoffman

VINCENT THE MAGNIFICENT Vincent Trocheck became the first player in Panthers franchise history to score a SHG in a season opening game Oct. 3 at TBL, also adding an assist on Mike Hoffman's goal Oct. 3 at TBL. He missed 27 games in 2018-19 due to injury, registering 34 points (10-24-34) in 55 games. Since 2016-17, Trocheck is third on the Panthers in goals (64) and points (163) and is fourth in assists (99).

LIGHTING THE LAMP The Florida Panthers completed the 2018-19 season with a franchise record 264 goals, scoring 10 goals better than the previous record holders, the 1995-96 Panthers. Averaging a franchise-best 3.22 goals per game average, the Cats were led by five players who scored 20 (Hoffman, Barkov, Huberdeau, Dadonov, Vatrano) or more goals and for the first time in franchise history three players who reached the 30-goal mark (Hoffman, Barkov, Huberdeau).

POWER UP Finishing the season with a franchise-best 26.8 power play percentage, the Cats were lethal on the man advantage in 2018-19. Ranking second in the NHL in power play success rate, the Panthers had four players who notched at least 30 power-play points (Yandle, Hoffman, Huberdeau, Barkov) and three who tallied 10 or more goals on the power play (Hoffman, Barkov, Huberdeau). Each of those feats marked franchise firsts, while Keith Yandle's 39 power-play points led all NHL defensemen, stood at third in the NHL and set a single-season Panthers record.
