We would like to thank you for the trust you have placed in our IRONMAN 70.3 Andorra team to meet your personal and sporting challenge in Andorra. It is an honour for us to see the exceptional welcome of the event. ATHLETE GUIDE 2021 3 ATHLETE GUIDE 2019 4 SAFE RETURN TO COMPETITION INTRODUCTION Our team, made up of enthusiastic sportsmen and women, experienced athletes and experienced partners, have made every effort to run this event safely and in accordance with the recommendations and measures of the local health authorities. In this athlete's guide, we will detail the race specifications as well as the measures we will implement against COVID -19. Below are the main points: •Mandatory use of face masks in all event venues except from the start line to the finish line. •It is essencial to wear your own mask. •Mandatory use of hydroalcoholic gel located at strategic points of the race. •Final aid supplies in bag format, to minimise contact points. •The safety distance must be respected in all areas, as well as during the race (as far as possible). Failure to comply with any of these measures will result in disqualification! . In this case, all athletes will be properly informed of these requirements, as far in advance as possible. The athlete who wishes to participate in the event must assume the health measures indicated by the country in which the race is held (Andorra), at the time of the race. BEFORE YOU CHEK-IN During the weeks prior to the event you will receive an email with information of interest for registration. By following the instructions in My Events Active you will be able to reserve your time to avoid crowds when collecting your pack from each participant. In order to start living this new adventure together, you must first go to the registration area located inthe Parc Central inAndorra La Vella. Go to the registration tent to pick up your BIB number and the material that the organisers will give you dependingon the race you are registered for. For the registration process itis important that you bear inmind the following: • Itis important that you attend at the time you have pre-selected to avoid crowds. • Access to the registration area is limited to athletes and organisers' staff only. The public and accompanying persons willnot beallowed access. • You must check the COVID prevention questionnaire in the process of entering the registration tent. Please follow the instructions of the people in charge of access control. • The use ofa mask coveringnose and mouth is mandatoryatall times. • Followthe signs that willindicate the correct flowof traffic. • Keep a safe distance of 1.5 m atall times. At the check-intime: • Check the list of registrants and verify that your name and your TriClub are spelled correctly according to your IRONMAN profile. • Make sure you present your registration confirmation email including bib number and your QR code at the registration tent either printed orvia your smartphone. • Check-in can only take place during the official opening hours of the registration tent. IMPORTANT Only the athlete inperson is authorised to collect their Athlete Pack. The Pack will not be handed over to a third person, not even with a signed authorisation. If you are competing in a relay, one team member can collect the Athlete Packs at the registration tent. Don't forget to present the QR code of all team members. The relay team member collectingthe Athlete Packs willneed to present their ID/Passport. ATHLETE GUIDE 2021 11 PRE-RACE INFORMATION ATHLETE CHECK-IN ATHLETE WRISTBAND When? At the time of registration, you will receive the wristband Thursday, July 01, 2021 09:00h – 19:00h accrediting you as a participant in the race. This wristband entitles athletes to: Friday, July 02, 2021 09:00h – 19:00h •Full access to the two transition areas both at check-in on Saturday, July 03, 2021 09:00h - 12h00h the day before the race and onthe day of the race. Athlete Check-In will NOT be open after these hours. •Free access to the prize-giving ceremony on Sunday 4th If you do not check-in during the designated Julyfrom 20:00h. Athlete Check-In hours you will not beable to race. This wristband will be used as the athlete's identification COME TO THE REGISTRATION TENT WITHIN THE TIME and must beworn throughout the event. SLOT YOU HAVE BOOKED IMPORTANT: Due to COVID restrictions, the capacityto attend the Award Ceremony will be limited, so the Where? organisation cannot guarantee accessto all participants. If you do not have one or if you have not taken out the one-day insurance, you will have to pay for itat registration with your credit card (20€). • Registration confirmation emailwith the QR Code. WHAT YOUR RACE PACKET WILL INCLUDE • Race bib STICKERS • Athlete wristband You will also have a sticker sheet; your bike, helmet and • Tattoos bags must have your race number stickers on them. Items include; the official swim cap, wristband, bike stickers, race bib number, and timing chip. Failure to do so will resultina DSQ. RACE BIB Please wear your race number on your back during the Bike course and in front for the run course. You can use safety pins if you wish. However because you need to change the position in transition it is strongly recommended that you get a race belt which saves you time, allows you to easily switch clothing and avoids puttingholesinyour clothes..
