Its dynamic learning environment paired Mwith caring educators prepares students to be eff ective leaders, moral and ethical citizens, and life-long learners. Th e school strives to lead students to the Truth which will provide them with an intellectual and moral anchor for life. It is the school’s goal to equip the whole student, helping them to acquire the knowledge, discernment, and ability to dynamically impact the world. Morrison Academy is jointly accredited by the West- ern Association of Schools and Colleges and the Association of Christian Schools International. Th e Taipei campus off ers classes from kindergarten through ninth grade. Th e Kaohsiung* and Taichung campuses off er classes from Mkindergarten through twelfth grade. Th e Taichung campus also has a quality boarding program which provides a home-like atmosphere. In order to foster an excellent learning environment, the school is sup- ported by extensive libraries, Mandarin language labs, and integrated technology systems, such as interactive white boards and student re- sponse systems. Each campus is well-equipped to provide a well-rounded learning experience for each student. *By the 2015-2016 school year, there will be a class for each grade K-12 level. Students will obtain the knowledge and skills to be eff ective communicators and rational and critical thinkers. 7 • Academics • Morrison Academy As an international school in a Mandarin-speaking country, Morrison is poised to provide various academic opportunities. Morrison off ers Mandarin as a foreign language at every grade level. Also, students have opportunities to take part in academic exchanges with other international schools in mathematics competitions, spelling bees, debates, the World Scholar’s Cup, and the Model United Nations. Our middle school staff actively assists students as they build their personal identities and transition into high school. More than 95 percent of each graduating class pursues higher education, most at universities in the United States and Canada. Visual Arts instruction is off ered at every grade level, allowing students to develop their musical and artistic talents and Wabilities. Th e interscholastic middle school sports include volleyball, softball, soccer, and basketball for both boys and girls.
