U.O of even no dated 08.05.2012 O R D E R Vide paper read first above, Choice based Credit Semester System and Grading has been introduced for UG programmes under School of Distance Education /Private mode of the University with effect from 2012 admission onwards. Vide paper read second above, orders were issued to implement the additions to clause1 of the Regulations governing the Choice based Credit Semester System ,U.G programmes in School of Distance Education /Private mode as follows: o The Syllabus of U.G programmes under Choice based Credit Semester System will be the same for the Regular, School of Distance Education and Private mode. o The number of Courses and Credits of School of Distance Education /Private mode will be the same as that of regular programme except for B.A Programmes. o For B.A Programmes there will be one complementary course in each semester with 4 Credits. The complementary Course in 1st and 4th semesters and 2nd and 3rd semesters will be the same. Vide paper read third above the Board of Studies in English (U.G) at its meeting held on 16.12.2011 vide item no 2 approved the Syllabus of B.A English Choice based Credit Semester System, to be offered in School of Distance Education /Private mode of University with effect from 2011 admission. Vide paper read fourth above, the minutes of the meeting of the Board of Studies in English(U.G) of 16.12.2011 was approved by the Faculty 1 Page 2 of 92 of Language and Literature at its meeting held on 15.02.2012 vide item no XII e Vide paper read fifth above the Board of Studies in English(U.G) at its meeting held on 10.02.2012 resolved to revise the syllabus of Common courses A01-A06 for BA/BSc/BCom and BBA in the regular stream wef 2012 admission onwards and also resolved to change the order of core courses retaining the same syllabus and curriculam of the core courses and the same implemented vide U.O no GAIV/B2/9842/2010(i) dated 08.05.2012. The Chairman Board of Studies in English(UG) has further clarified on 02.05.2012 that these revision may be brought into effect for School of Distance Education Stream also with effect from 2012 admission onwards. Vide paper read sixth above the minutes of the meeting of the Board of Studies in English(UG) held on 10.02.2012 was approved by the Faculty of Language and Literature at its meeting held on 15.02.2012 vide item no XII f. Vide paper read seventh above the minutes of the Faculty of Language and Literature held on 15.02.2012 was approved by the Academic Council at its meeting held on 24.03.2012 vide item No.II A. Vide paper read eighth above orders were issued implementing the syllabus of BA English Programme under Choice based Credit Semester System for School of Distance Education/ Private mode with effect from 2011 admission onwards. Orders are therefore issued implementing the revised syllabus of BA English Programme under Choice Based Credit Semester System for School of Distance Education/Private mode with effect from 2012 admission onwards.
