SHARKEY Department of Entomology, University of Kentucky, Lexington, KY 40546-0091 SYNOPSIS The history, organizational structure, and purpose of the all taxa biodiversity inventory (ATBI) of the Great Smoky Mountains National Park are detailed. The benefits of the ATBI to the areas of Conservation, Education, and Science are explained.
