I can’t speak for everyone, but it doesn’t even cross my mind. An eyeful, whatever its source, is an eyeful. “Most people can’t guess if my boobs are real or fake,” Rali laughed. She should laugh. If they’re asking, hey, they’ve got to be good … real good. Her chest might be the object of stares, but Rali is much more than that. “My best feature is my nose,” she told us. Rali, I’ll let you in on a little secret. Several of your features could be at the top of lists. You’ve got nothing to hide. In fact, please, if you will, don’t even consider concealing. “The worst pick-up attempts are when men just grab you,” she said. “They don’t even bother to use a line. It’s so inappropriate.” You want lines? Trust me, I’ve got … “Be yourself and be a gentleman,” Rali warned. What did I do? “To get me in a romantic mood, you would need to take me to a romantic place,” she said. What, if I may ask, might happen when we get there? “Each date with me is the best because it’s with my love,” Rali revealed. A romantic place … let me see … I think I need to fi nd a travel expert. Where’s William Shatner when you need him?

rop the Fancy Play Syndrome D BY JOHNNY KAMPIS hand I played recently in Tunica provides a great example of Aone solid poker play – taking a free card – and another bad one – fancy play syndrome. at phrase, which we in the South might instead call “getting cute,” was coined by leading poker theorist Mike Caro, often considered the greatest draw poker player back in the day.

FPS, as it is often written, is simply being too clever for your own good. It might involve trying to constantly check raise a player or slow playing a hand to your own detriment. You might limp with pocket aces or slow play two pair and give other players a cheap or free draw with a straight or fl ush possibility. It’s an attempt to be cool. Look at how slick I play. Even good players are capable of developing a case of fancy play syndrome every now and then.

Anyway, here’s the aforementioned hand. I raised to $20 before the fl op in a $10-$20 limit hold’em game with J-Q and was called by two players. e fl op was 8-10-A. is gave me what is usually called a double belly buster or double gutshot straight draw, meaning I could catch a 9 or K to make a straight. ese eight outs are the same as you would have for an open-ended straight draw. So I bet the fl op in hopes I could see the river for free by checking the turn.

I was called by both players and the turn was a 3. I checked the turn and missed my straight on the river. e guy in the blind bet and was called by the other guy in the hand on seventh street. e blind turned over 10-10 for fl opped trips, while his opponent showed A-8 for fl opped two pair.

Notice how strong these hands were. It was obvious to me that both of them wanted to check raise me on the turn, but since I checked they let me draw for free. Now had these fellows not had FPS, the man with the set of tens would have made at least $60 from the other guy on the turn if he bet out, got raised and re-raised. Or he could have made more on the fl op had he check-raised me. e other guy would have most likely three bet at that point. But by slow playing, the player with the set of tens made a lot less money on the hand and gave both of his opponents a strong chance to beat him by allowing us to draw for as cheaply as possible on the turn and river.

Next time you are setting your opponents up for a check raise on the turn, you best be pretty sure they will bet the turn. In most situations you are better off playing the hand more aggressively on the fl op and controlling the action on the turn and river. Often you will make more playing your hand in a fast manner rather than a “fancy” one.

INTRODUCING ROUNDER TV’S NEW HOST BY DAVE LUKOW

Jenna Edwards is not just another pretty, make that gorgeous, face. No, this beauty queen – she was Miss Florida in 2004 and Miss Florida USA in 2007 - brings more than looks to the table. Her mind – as hard as it may be to believe – may be more wonderful than her appearance. “My career goal really involves the non-profi t sector,” Jenna said. “At pageants, I used to say I wanted to make the world a better place. Now, I’m motivated in terms of doing that.” A few years ago, Jenna formed Queen for a Day, a charity devoted to helping children with cancer. Her involvement has led to television appearances (The Oprah Winfrey Show), magazine articles (People) and various awards, but fame and adulation are not what she’s after. “Being on Oprah was pretty cool, that was for Queen for a Day,” Jenna admitted. “Also, I got to sing the national anthem at a couple NASCAR races and I was a contestant on a game show. “But working with kids always brings me back to my actual goal. Queen for a Day provides kids

with something tangible for them to remember. I put a tiara on a cancer patient – and things kind of went from there.” A graduate of the University of Miami, where she majored in Communication Studies and English Literature, Jenna has put pageantry in perspective. “Winning a beauty contest is like achieving anything else you’ve worked very hard for,” she told me. “It’s very satisfying. Had I not won, though, I would’ve felt the same way. I gave it my best.” Jenna’s been giving her best since childhood. “I’ve been modeling for four years now. I’ve been doing pageants for 20, since I was seven,” she said. “Apparently when I was in dance class, the dance instructor, who was involved in pageants, brought in a little crown as a marketing ploy. Well, it worked!” It may have worked – Jenna may have caught the bug, if you will – but only to a certain extent. It’s hard to match Jenna’s drive and devotion, but don’t get the idea it’s all about business. She still knows how to unwind. “To relax, I watch a lot of TV,” she laughed. “I lived in Florida for seven years, so I played golf and did a lot of laying around in the sun. I also like to shop online. Sports – more the energy than the outcome – are another interest. “Am I a sports fan? Yes, if you consider car racing a sport,” Jenna said. “Also, I’d take any opportunity to go to any live sporting event. You can feel the electricity in the air.” Jenna, despite not being a gambler, also enjoys Las Vegas. “I think Vegas is a very special place,” she said. “To really enjoy a place like Vegas, you’ve got to do it right, which means someone else is paying for it (laughs). “My parents have opened up a bit as they’ve gotten older. They might bring $20 to a casino, but I don’t consider myself a gambler. I’d rather spend the money elsewhere.” Poker remains uncharted territory. “I don’t know any card games,” Jenna sighed. “I’m interested in learning poker, but going out on the fl oor, that’s kind of intimidating.”
