Tournament rules

• Tournament will be played 9 handed. Days 1, 2 and 3 start @ 12pm, Final day starts at 4pm.

• Registration is open until the start of level 7. Unlimited re-entrys allowed within the registration period on each starting day.

• Players may re-enter on day 1B even if they were not eliminated on Day 1A. If a player advances to Day 2 from Day 1A and Day 1B they will play the highest chip stack and the other stack will be removed from play.

• Levels will be 60 minutes through level 16 (dinner break of day 2).

• Level 17 and beyond, until the final table of 6 players is reached will be 90 minutes.

• Day 1 will play 10 levels, day 2 will play 9 levels, day 3 will play down to 6 players.

• Day 4 will be filmed for TV and play until the conclusion. Levels will last 60 Minutes until heads up than 30 minutes.

• When playing 60-minute levels there will be a 15-minute break every two levels.

• When playing 90-minute levels there will be a 15-minute break every level.

• There will be a redraw at the end of each day, and/or 27, 18 & 10 players.

• There will be a one hour dinner break on Day 1 and Day 2 after 6 levels and on Day 3 after 4 levels of play.

• Levels played each day are subject to change.

• Bounties and chip leader prizes are deducted from the prize pool.

• $15,000 will be withheld from the prize pool for an entry into the 2016 season-ending WPT Tournament of Champions and awarded to the winner.

• Management reserves the right to alter or cancel promotion/tournament at any time.

Mike Sexton is poker’s consummate promoter. He’s well-known for his contributions to the sport and his commitment to raising poker’s profile around the world. A former European poker champion with his own coveted bracelets, Mike is one of the premier ambassadors of poker.

He attended Ohio State University where he developed his life-long passion for the sport of poker. After completing his service in the 82nd Airborne Division in Ft. Bragg as a paratrooper, Mike stayed in North Carolina working as a salesman and playing poker at night. In 1985, he moved to Las Vegas where his dedication to the sport prevailed, and he won a WSOP bracelet in Seven-Card Stud Split in 1989. From there, he has amassed well over $2.7 million in prize money and become a regular fixture in tournaments.

In June 2006, Mike battled it out on the felt with at the WSOP Tournament of Champions to win his second gold bracelet and pocket $1 million, though he elected to donate half his winning to several charities. As a sound commentator for the WPT and successful player in the poker circuit, Mike has become and always will be a great in the poker community. He is truly an ambassador of the sport and a pioneer for charities outside of poker.

Success has come in many forms for the actor, producer, director, author, and former player, Vincent Van Patten. The son of actor , Vince has thrived in all his endeavors through a winning combination of talent, ambition, and dedication.

As an actor, Vince launched his career at the age of 9, starring in a Colgate commercial, and he went on to guest star in over three dozen classic television shows. Graduating from television to film, Vince appeared in a number of movies along side such major actors as Kurt Russell and Charles Bronson. He also wrote and directed another feature film, “The Flunky.” For his work, he was awarded the prestigious award of Best Director at the Port Hueneme International Film Festival in 2000.

Vince is also a remarkably talented tennis player who competed professionally through the mid-1980s. At his peak, he ranked 25th in the world, scoring wins over almost every major player including John McEnroe.

His passion for poker started at the young age of 13, when his father taught him how to play poker at the LA Tennis Club. By the time he turned 16, Vince had accumulated enough skill to play in his Dad’s poker game. He continues to play poker every week with his buddies in Beverly Hills. Vince has tried his hand at the World Series of Poker three times and brings solid experience hosting televised sports and poker broadcasts to the World Poker Tour.

Matt Savage Executive Tour Director @SavagePoker

A visionary in the industry, Matt Savage is the world’s foremost poker tournament director. In his career, Matt has directed hundreds of televised events throughout the world, and he is a founding member of the Tournament Directors Association (TDA).

Matt, who believes that a standard set of rules will benefit poker events around the globe, has served as WPT’s Executive Tour Director since 2010. He directed the WSOP from 2002 to 2004, and in 2003 he was voted as the inaugural inductee into the Poker Room Manager’s Hall of Fame.

In 2001, along with Linda Johnson, Jan Fish, and David Lamb, Matt founded the TDA. The purpose of the association is to create a standard set of rules that can be applied to all tournaments. For the last 13 years, membership of the TDA has swelled to over 2,000 tournament staff in 42 countries, and the association holds bi-annual meetings to ensure that the rules and statutes remain up to date.

Matt is extremely active on social media, always looking to assist the global poker community, even when he is not at an event. When he’s not wearing a suit and calling the shots, Matt enjoys battling it out on the felt. He has 19 live results for just under $100,000, and in 2009 he reached a final table at the WSOP. Matt also enjoys rooting on his hometown San Jose Sharks in the National Hockey League.

Whether it was dancing, acting, or filming television commercials as a child, Lynn always had an urge to perform. When she finished high school, Lynn became intrigued with business, going on to study public relations at RMIT and marketing at LaTrobe University, both in Melbourne, . It was through her marketing career at her hometown casino that Lynn discovered poker and found herself back in front of the camera.

Lynn has globetrotted for a number of years, and during that time she immersed herself in the poker world. Lynn has experience as a player, as a well-respected reporter for PokerNews.com, and as the on-camera hostess for major international poker tournaments such as the Aussie Millions and WSOP Asia-Pacific. Now serving as the anchor of the World Poker Tour, Lynn has plenty more to add to her impressive collection of passport stamps.

Tony Dunst, a high-stakes poker pro and one of the most unique personalities in the industry, was named host of World Poker Tour’s “Raw Deal” segment starting in Season IX. Dunst beat out hundreds of other contestants in a nationwide search to capture the coveted slot.

Dunst began playing poker in home games with friends in college before growing to become a successful online pro. After visiting Australia for poker in 2005, he left the U.S. to move Down Under. He returned to the States a year later, and eventually spent time in Shanghai, Macau, and again in Australia playing poker. Throughout his traveling poker play, Tony established himself as a force in the poker world. In 2013, he won a WPT title, and in 2016, he won a WSOP gold bracelet.

Tony has the rare ability to turn high-level thoughts into informative lessons, and his Raw Deal segment showcases the talent he has for talking poker strategy. Known as one of the most stylish and social men in poker, Tony is certain to stand out in a crowd, and it is no mistake that Tony’s nickname is “Bond,” after his idol James Bond.
