TRANSPORTATION 4 THE ARCTIC ROUTE

A eco-friendly and sustainable co-operation

The Arctic route is a co-operation that started 3 years ago between Bussring AS and several activity and lodging providers in the region. The goal is to offer TO and guests a more sustainable way of transport to their destinations.

By merging departures into one we have been able to offer our guests more comfortable and modern busses, cutting down on Co2-emissions and keeping the transport price lower. All in all a win for everyone and an excellent showcase of how working together and co-operating is beneficiant for all parties involved.

The buses used are brand new and most of them offer on-board digital guiding. Tickets can only be pre-purchased through partners of the program in addition to activities and/or lodging.

Departure & Directions The Bus departures everyday at 08:45 from Tromsø Scandic Ishavshotel and will be marked similar to the picture above and state Lyngen route in the front. We pre-book tickets for your guests so the driver will be expecting them. We recommend that guests meet minimum 15 minutes prior to departure to make sure they find their bus, as mornings in Tromsø center can be crowded.

The Bus route takes about 1h 40m and is and experience in itself, your guests will see fjords, steep mountains and beautiful scenery on the way. A ferry ride is also included where they have the option to purchase drinks and snacks in the cafe.
