Year 11 Leavers Assembly The Year 11 Leavers Assembly was held recently to say a fond farewell to the amazing Year 11 students. We wish them well— congratulations Class of 2019! Dancefest “Many of us had the privilege of watching LCT DanceFest at Oakengates Theatre. It was a stunning show with performances from HLC Primary, HLC Secondary, Charlton and Ercall Wood. It was great to see our students across the Trust dancing together but also showcasing Dance from their own schools. The range and styles of dance was incredible, we have some very talented young people in our schools. One of the highlights was the staff dancing to ‘Queen’, again from all the schools, to bring the show to a close. They were amazing!! It was an evening of craft, food, music, dance, games and drama for the whole community to enjoy. As well as entertainment there were also a number of craft stalls, a food court and a bouncy castle. Many of the stalls were hosted by parents or members of the local community. We would like to extend our thanks to them for helping to make the event such a success. Carnegie Readers 2019 A team of seven keen year 7 readers represented Charlton School at 'The Bashes' at Idsall School on 18th June to respond to 100 questions in the form of a quiz about the shortlist of Carnegie books for 2019.
