Year 11 Leavers' Prom 25Th June 2015
Webberzine Year 11 Leavers’ Prom Inside this issue: 25th June 2015 - Mytton & Mermaid Hotel School 2 Performance Inspirational 3 Sparks 2014-15 Sports 4-5 Round Up Curriculum Day 6 1.5.15 Severndale 7 Music / Paris Trip 8 Our prom was held at the Mytton and Mermaid Hotel on the 25th June 2015, 7pm - 11pm. We were so lucky as the sun was shining all day. Everyone started arriving in a variety of transport, Limos, History Makers 9 tractors, land rovers, vintage cars such as Bentleys and Jaguars, there were Ferraris and also a vintage bus - it was amazing how everyone looked so smart dressed up in their suits and dresses. Year 7 Camp 10 After several months of planning it was nice to see that all our hard work had paid off and that the end product was successful. The weeks running up to prom were extremely stressful as many things Library 11 still needed to be organised, but on the night we seemed to pull it off. Both of us said a few words, and got a few laughs, and then decided to party on through the night. Sponsored Walk 12 The Mytton and Mermaid supplied us with brilliant food and non alcoholic beverages. For the main Election 13 course we had either salmon, chicken or tarte tatin, with dauphinoise potatoes and summer vegetables. For dessert we had chocolate brownie or crème brulee. Senior Students 14 & House Captains Although the whole night was amazing, a personal highlight for us both was the teachers dancing, 2015-16 especially those of Mr. -

The team, comprised of Phoebe Jackson (U6), Pauline Ji (U6), Vinna Sun (L6) and Georgie Lang (L6) excelled. -

SHROPSHIRE HOCKEY ASSOCIATION Development Centres – May to June 2018 PLAYER INFORMATION Development Centres will now run in June and again in September to October, at various sites throughout the County. The Academy Centres will follow the October Development Centres. For boys and girls, near beginners through to county players. Concentrating on core skill coaching and game play. Players will be grouped based on experience. Players should bring a stick, shin pads, gum shield, a drink and appropriate clothing for the weather. All players are required to register with England Hockey at www.ehbplayersystem.co.uk. Where possible this should be done before the first session. If you are already registered please update your details. Sport Academy Update Outside of the curriculum sport at GC Sport Gloucestershire College sprung to life at the Gloucester Campus on Wednesday 1st Oct when the netball team hosted Lucton School and Beaufort Cooperative Newsletter Academy. The girls lost to the Herefordshire side but had a convincing win against their local rivals. SUMMARY OF MAIN PROPOSALS This report is intended to update Cabinet of the successful and much enhanced deliverables resulting from the Building Schools for the Future programme including a comparison to the original Outline Business Case (OBC) proposals from December 2008. We would also like Cabinet to formally acknowledge closure of the programme by reporting the closing financial position and agreement that any tasks outstanding as at 31st August 2017 should be allocated to the most appropriate service delivery area for continued management and completion. 2. RECOMMENDATIONS For Cabinet to: 2.1 Note the achievements of the BSF Programme against the original Outline Business Case dated December 2008 2.2 Agree formal closure of the BSF Programme from 1st September 2017 2.3 Approve the additional borrowing requirement 2.4 Agree that outstanding tasks be allocated to the most appropriate Service Delivery Area 3.
