Qua thập niên 1950, công nghệ hàng tiêu dùng Nhật Bản đã đạt được tiêu chuẩn quốc tế, nhưng với những nghi ngờ xấu còn lại của người tiêu thụ trong nước, nên những mặt hàng Âu Châu vẫn còn chiếm lãnh thị trường Việt Nam.
