Minutes from the November General Membership Meeting: Mary Saveri asked if there were any corrections to the minutes. Bobbie Dunkling made a motion to accept the minutes; Ron Metzler seconded the motion; the motion passed. Corresponding Secretary: AKC 1. The AKC has successfully closed out our December Point Show and Obedience & Rally events. Next year we are scheduled for Friday Dec. 13th for Obedience & Rally and Sat. Dec. 14th for Breed. Events & Cards 2. We received a nice Christmas card from Holiday Inn Breinigsville. 3. Beaver County KC is sponsoring a Greg Strong Seminar on Feb. 2nd & 3rd 9AM – 4PM Treasurer’s Report: Denice VanDriesen reported the following: 11/3/18 – 1/3/19 Checking Account: Beginning Balance - $52,440.80 Total Income $35,124.53 Total Expense $25,213.59 Ending Balance –$62,351.74 Money Market: Beginning Balance – $24,941.73 Interest – $2.92 Ending Balance – $24,944.65 Tom Nardone made a motion to accept the Treasurer’s Report; Gail James seconded the motion; the motion passed. Committee Reports: Finance – No report. September Point Show – Gloria Boyle reported that the judges are picked for 2019. December Point Show – Cindy Meyer reported that the show went well. There were minor issues. She thanked everyone that came out that day to help in many different ways. We are now waiting for the final financial figures. I received a number of thank you notes from our judges. Gail James talked about the Obedience/Rally part of the show. Cindy has chaired the show for 3 years, which is what the Club allows. Deidre Rahn volunteered to help with the show next year. Denice VanDriesen said she would still be a part of next year, but could not Chair the show. Canine Learning Experience – Bobbie Dunkling asked for people to make desserts. Janie Hecker is doing the publicity. She is working with the Morning Call. PA Federation: No report. Publicity – No report. Awards and Membership Appreciation Dinner – No report. Outstanding Service Award – No report. Program/Breed of the Month – Walt Amante reported that the February presenter has not confirmed with him. He is ready to move to another presenter. Holiday Party –The membership liked the party. Thank you to Tracey Nooft and Rosemary Shaffer for putting the party together. Summer Picnic – We will have one in August. Fran will get a date so the site can be reserved. Membership and Records – No report. Web Master and Facebook – Missy Brong reported candid pictures were posted for holiday party and Dec. show. CLE flyer, breed booth info, layout, and link to Rau were added.

It has provided us with some concrete ideas we 3 can address when it comes to holding future National Specialty. TTHWF We received a ton of data and currently are exploring ways to share these results with everyone in a simplified way. Most of the 4 people who responded had attended the 2018 National and 53% Journal/Yearbook Advertising Form noted their experiences were excellent, 45% felt it was average. 5 Our goal is to get more people attending and having a great time! The OFA The most attended activity, according to those who participated in the survey, was the Auction Dinner, with the Conformation, the 6 Annual Meeting and the Top 20 to follow in that order. As AKC Canine Health Grants President I was excited to see the stats on the attendance at the 7&8 Annual meeting. People also commented on the importance of this Meet the Breeds event, noting it is an “obligation” as a member of the Club, and I agree. When ranking the order of the events people consider the 9 most important to the TTCA, “Conformation, Sweeps & Futurity” AKC PAC was #!. Performance events were #2, Breeder Education #3, and 10 thru 13 with the Auction #4. It terms of it’s ranking, the Annual Meeting Touring the AKC Museum of the Dog was ranked last! It may not be one of the most fun parts of the National but it is one of the most important and it define us as an 14 AKC Parent Club.
