Document Overview The purpose of the following document is to provide one source of information for residents and property owners who reside in and around the Vodafone Gold Coast 600 Supercars event precinct, on all frequently asked questions relating to event accreditation and accessing your home during the Vodafone Gold Coast 600 Supercars event. Refer to Page 1 for a list of all questions answered within this booklet.

What is accreditation? Accreditation is the term used for the wristbands issued to those who reside or work within the Vodafone Gold Coast 600 event precinct, to provide them access to their home or workplace during the event.

Accreditation is offered in good faith and under no circumstances can it be offered for sale or included in any holiday let package. People whom are found to be in possession of, or are found to be involved in the distribution of Supercars accreditation obtained from an unauthorised source or a stolen or counterfeit pass, will be prosecuted and the pass/s will be cancelled immediately.

What is the event precinct? The “event precinct” refers to the area located within the temporary event fencing.

When does the event precinct lock down? From 12:01am Friday 25th October, to 7:00pm Sunday 27th October 2019, the Vodafone Gold Coast 600 event precinct will be secured, and entry will be via accreditation or a valid event ticket only. It is vital that you always carry your accreditation with you, as you will always be required to show it to security to re-enter the event precinct. Please ensure you abide by these rules…it will make your life so much easier!

Please Note: the precinct is re-locked down after racing each day, and only those with resident accreditation or patrons with an event ticket and an Accommodation Access Pass will be able to enter the event precinct. For more information on this, refer to “What is an Accommodation Access Pass?” on Page 6.

Patrons with Ticketek or Corporate tickets who do not have Accommodation Access Passes cannot enter the precinct after 5pm or before 7am each day of racing.

When can I apply for accreditation? Online applications will open at 9:00am, Wednesday 28th August 2019 and will remain open through till the conclusion of the event.

How do I apply for accreditation? The link to apply for accreditation can be found on the Gold Coast Community page of the Supercars website. www.supercars.com/gold-coast/community/resident-information

After completing your online application, an automatic email will be generated, advising that your application has been received by the Supercars Accreditation department.

Please note: this is not confirmation that your accreditation application has been approved.

Your application, including all supporting documentation will be reviewed and only approved if all guidelines are successfully met.

What supporting documentation do I need to supply? All new accreditation applications, and tenants with a renewed lease must provide supporting documentation to verify their claim. Supporting documentation must include your name and the address you are requesting accreditation for. Examples of accepted supporting documents are outlined within the below table.

Applications submitted without the relevant supporting documentation, will not be processed.

Applicants who do not provide supporting documentation as part of their application, will need to attend the Accreditation Centre and provide the required documentation for review before any accreditation will be issued.

Are accreditation applications verified? The Supercars Accreditation Department will authenticate all resident applications and reserves the right to refuse any application that cannot be verified. Action will be taken in any proven case of persons fraudulently applying for resident accreditation.

Will my personal details remain confidential? Supercars respects the privacy of your personal information. We are bound by the National Privacy Principles (NPPs) as set out in the Privacy Act 1988. How many accreditation passes will I receive? The number of Resident Accreditation Passes that will be issued per dwelling, is determined by the number of bedrooms within the home/unit. Two (2) passes are issued per bedroom, PLUS two (2) additional passes for the dwelling to provide access for family or friends who might be visiting over the weekend.

How do I collect my accreditation? Those who apply for accreditation prior to 11.59pm Sunday, 29 September can choose to collect their accreditation from the Accreditation Centre or their Building Manager. (A Building Manager is a dedicated individual whom has agreed to communicate and liaise with Supercars on behalf of a residential complex.)

Applications received after 11.59pm Sunday, 29 September will be required to collect their accreditation from the Accreditation Centre. In no circumstances will accreditation be mailed out to residents or Building Managers.

Collecting from Building Managers: Accreditation will be delivered to the Building Managers in the weeks preceding the event and will be available for collection from Monday 14th October 2019, unless stipulated otherwise.

Collecting from the Accreditation Centre: Accreditation can only be collected by residents listed on the application form. Under no circumstances will accreditation be issued to anyone else including the Building Manager. Photo identification (i.e. Drivers Licence or Passport) must be shown when collecting from the Accreditation Centre. Accreditation Centre hours of operation are outlined below.

Where is the Accreditation Centre located? The Accreditation Centre is located on the corner of Tedder Avenue and Breaker Streets in Main Beach, near Gate One for the event.

What are the Accreditation Centre Opening Hours? The Accreditation Centre hours of operation are as follows.

Please note: The Accreditation Centre will also be open to event contractors, corporates and other stakeholders, so it is advised that if you are attending the Accreditation Centre, that you do so before Thursday 24th October to minimise potential wait times.

Who can apply for accreditation? A permanent owner occupier, a permanent tenant, or a non-resident owner who will be residing within the property during the three days of the event, can apply for accreditation, if the property is located within the Vodafone Gold Coast 600 event precinct.

Only one application will be per dwelling/property, will be processed for accreditation. It is the responsibility of the person who applies for accreditation, to ensure all residents living in the dwelling are issued their accreditation as required.

Who is considered a Non-Resident Owner? A non-resident owner is a person who owns a property located within the Vodafone Gold Coast 600 event precinct but does not use it as their principal place of residence. The non-resident owner must be planning to be in residence during the dates of Friday 25th to Sunday 27th October 2019 to apply for accreditation.

Who is considered a Permanent Tenant? A Permanent Tenant is a person who has a lease (for a minimum of three (3) months) which will be current during the event period; Friday 25th to Sunday 27th October 2019. Permanent tenants must provide a copy of their current lease, showing verification of all tenants listed on the application form, and a copy of the Rental Bond Authority receipt. Alternatively, you can provide a recent copy of a utility bill, i.e. power or telephone bill, addressed to you and your place of residence. Only those persons listed on the lease or utility bill will be eligible to apply for accreditation on behalf of the dwelling/property.

How do I get Accreditation for my Family Trust or Company properties? You must provide evidence that you are named in the Family Trust or as a Director of the Company to be able to apply for accreditation. If your Family Trust or Company owns more than one property within the event precinct, accreditation will need to be applied for by a different family member or company director – An individual, can only apply for accreditation for one property/dwelling.

Can I apply for accreditation for my Lease properties within the event precinct? Accreditation is not issued for holiday let dwellings. It is only issued to residents and non-resident owners. It is illegal to offer resident accreditation to holiday markers, or package accreditation into the cost of the holiday let.

How do holiday makers access the event precinct? Holiday makers must purchase the following two items to enter the event precinct to access their accommodation;

1. an event ticket through Ticketek www.supercars.com/gold-coast/tickets/ and 2. an Accommodation Access Pass

What is an Accommodation Access Pass? An Accommodation Access Pass is a wristband used in conjunction with a valid event ticket, to access the event precinct after hours. These are implemented to keep public whom are not staying within the event precinct out of the area, to avoid trespassing, damages and overcrowding.

An Accommodation Access Pass will be required to be shown at the all entrances to the event precinct between the hours of 5:00pm and 7:00am from Friday 25th of October through till the completion of the event.

Some buildings will also enforce the Accommodation Access Pass, and will require those entering their property, to display the pass before gaining access.

Accommodation Access Passes can be purchased from your Building Manager or the Accreditation Centre for $20.00

How do my friends and family get access to my home? In the first instance, you should use your additional Resident Accreditation passes to provide access to you home for your family and friends. When your allocation of passes is exhausted, your family and friends will need to purchase an event ticket to get into the event precinct. If your friends and family are trying to access the precinct after racing is completed, the ticket will need to be valid for the following day.

If you reside in a building complex where Accommodation Access Passes are enforced, your friends and family will also need to purchase one of those if they are not in possession of a Resident Accreditation Pass. Refer to “What is an Accommodation Access Pass” for further information.

Ticketing discount for Residents Approved residents will receive a ticketing discount of 10% for residents to purchase tickets for friends and family. This offer is available now and will remain available through till the end of the event.

The 10% discount is valid for Adult Trackside Tickets only at the 2019 Vodafone Gold Coast 600. The discount does not include upgrades (i.e. Grandstand tickets, Paddock Access or Memberships.)

The discount code will be provided when you receive your Application Approval Email.

Will vehicle access and parking be affected? Once the gates to the precinct are secured (at 12.01am on Friday 25th October 2019) you will not be able to drive your vehicle inside the event precinct between the hours of 7am and 7pm on Friday and Sunday.

It is extremely important that your vehicle is removed from the race track and all roadways within the event precinct prior to 6:30am each morning. Failure to follow this instruction will likely result in your car being removed at your expense.

The City of Gold Coast will enforce the Main Beach Traffic Area over the weekend with the 2 hour traffic zone in place. Please refer to the Community Page on the Supercars website for more information.

Resident event parking permits will be distributed by Supercars week commencing October 7th 2019. These will be delivered to Building Managers (for high rise complexes) and mail boxes (for homes and units). Residents do not need to apply via the City of Gold Coast website for Main Beach Traffic Area permits. These permits will allow residents extended parking in the specified 2 hour Event Parking zones. These permits DO NOT override regular City of Gold Coast parking signs. Please ensure you take a moment to check when parking on the streets of Main

Beach.

Parking can be requested at the Bruce Bishop Car Park during the event for residents who are unable to access their property with their vehicle. You must apply for a parking pass at the time of submitting your accreditation application online. If your application for a parking pass is approved, a parking ticket to access the carpark will be supplied to you with your accreditation.

The driveways of the following complexes are not impeded by the race track, and will remain accessible throughout the entirety of the event; Bougainvillea, The Inlet, Melaleuca, Axis, XXV and Sunbird. Residents of these buildings will be issued with two (2) Resident Vehicle Passes to provide access through the event gates to get to their driveway. The Resident Vehicle Pass must be displayed on the dashboard of the car, and all persons within the vehicle, will need to show their accreditation or ticket to gain access into the event precinct.

Is public transport free with event accreditation? Those in possession of a Vodafone Gold Coast 600 event ticket or accreditation, can travel free, to and from the event on G: Link Trams, Surfside Buslines and Rail City Network trains from Friday 25th October until Sunday 21st October (inclusive).

Do I get access to the concert and event entertainment? All concert and entertainment will occur within the main event precinct this year. This means, if you have your resident accreditation, or a valid ticket, you will be given access to the concert and event entertainment. Keep an eye on the Supercars website for concert and entertainment details.

Can food and alcohol be brought into the event precinct? Any person wearing a valid Resident Accreditation wristband can bring food for personal consumption into the event precinct, to transport it to their home only. No Alcohol is to be brought in between the hours of 7:00am and 7:00pm. (Please refer to “Are there restrictions on bringing glass into the precinct?” below.) Consumption of food and alcohol outside of your property is not permitted, unless the food and alcohol has been purchased at one of the Vodafone Gold Coast 600 licenced premises.

Ticket holders, with or without an Accommodation Access Pass wristband, are not permitted to bring food or alcohol into the event precinct between the hours of 7:00am and 7:00pm each day.

Hosting private parties or gatherings within the event precinct is not permitted during the event. Therefore, deliveries or the bringing in of catered food for more than personal consumption during the hours of 7:00am and 7:00pm is strictly forbidden.

If you are arranging for the delivery of food between the hours of 7:00pm and 7:00am, you will need to facilitate access for the deliverers from your allocation of accreditation and vehicle passes.

Are there restrictions on bringing glass into the precinct? It is a condition of the liquor permit for this event that no liquor or any other non-alcoholic beverages contained in glass receptacles can be brought into the grounds between the hours of 7am and 7pm for the period 25th to 27nd October 2019.

Residents are advised to bring alcohol into the precinct between 7pm and 7am only during the event.

Persons found bringing glass receptacles containing alcohol onto the grounds during these hours are liable for an on the spot fine of $500 or maximum fine of $5000 for breaching the Liquor Act 1992. Where can I get community related support? Supercars, in conjunction with local community members, has created a Community Consultation Committee. This committee has been formed to consult with the local community and address issues concerning the residents and local businesses.
