Day 02 – Delhi

Let’s g et t o kno w Delhi, one of the oldes t and mos t his toric cities on earth -- which is also one of the gr eenest c apital cities in the w orld.

We will s tart with a t our of Old Delhi tha t will t ake y ou in to the heart of this f ascinating, chaotic, and cr owded ar ea. W e will see t emples, mosques, and gurudw aras, plus visit Asia’ s biggest spice mark et and e xplore the alle ys of Chandni Cho wk via bicy cle rick shaw. Later driv e thr ough Luty en’s Delhi -- India Ga te, P arliament, Rash trapati Bha van -- and visit Humayun’s T omb. If time permits, w e c an either s troll in Lodhi Gar den or driv e t o Qut ab Minar.

Day 03 – Delhi – Alsisar (215 kms/ 4-5 hrs)

Drive t o Alsisar and e xplore the ha veli ar chitecture of Shekha wati r egion. Shekha wati is a lesser kno wn ar ea in Rajas than tha t is f amous f or tr aditional ha velis, c overed in orna te art work.

Day 04 – Alsisar – (235 kms/ 5 hrs)

Drive t o Bik aner and visit Junag arh F ort. R est of the da y is fr ee a t leisur e. Accommodation op tions in Bik aner include s taying in India’ s fir st z ero-waste gues t house or a gr and palace hot el.

Day 05 – Bikaner

In Bik aner, w e will e xplore the old baz aar and loc al cr afts, with a s top a t The Charkha, a store tha t sells Khadi t extiles. Khadi is handspun cloth, and this dying art w as r ecently revived in the Bik aner ar ea.

Visit to Temple (known as Rat Temple).

Village tour to understand local life and the khadi ecosystem.

Day 05 – Bikaner – (330 kms/ 6 hrs)

After br eakfast, driv e t o Jaisalmer . Arriv e Jaisalmer and r est of the da y is fr ee t o r elax. Jaisalmer is a f avourite loc ation in India f or adv enturous tr avelers, artis ts, and dr eamers. A sand-castle lik e f ort rises fr om the desert, and e verything shimmer s in g old sands tone. This t own w as once an import ant s top on the Spice R oute, and it ’s glor y da ys ar e e tched in stone.

Day 06 – Jaisalmer

Explore Jaisalmer F ort in the morning c overing City P alace and Jain t emples. Enjo y c amel ride a t sand dunes in the e vening.

Visit abandoned village of Kuldhara also known as ghost town. Kuldhara was abandoned by its own people and they cursed the town that no one will ever be able to settle down in this village

Day 07 – Jaisalmer – (280 kms/ 5-6 hrs)

Drive t o Jodhpur and r est of the da y is fr ee t o e xplore the mark ets.

Day 08 – Jodhpur

Visit Mehr angarh F ort and nearb y Rao Jodha Desert R ock P ark. Mehr angarh is one of the great f orts of India, and Rao Jodha P ark w as r ewilded t o r estore the na tural ec ology. Explore s tepwells of Jodhpur and the f amous Clock T ower Mark et.

Explor e the mark et and visit the Pushk ar Lak e along with Br ahma T emple -- the only Br ahma Temple in India. W alk up (or t ake c able c ar) t o Sa vitri Ma ta t emple f or sunse t (kno wn as paradise f or phot ographers).

Day 12 – Pushkar – Jaipur (150 kms/ 03 hrs)

Get up a t da wn and see the sunrise a t Pushk ar Lak e. Aft er br eakfast, driv e t o Jaipur and rest of the da y is fr ee t o r elax.
