INSTITUTE OF FILM & VIDEO TECHNOLOGY, MUMBAI & MEWAR UNIVERSITY, CHITTORGARH (Rajasthan) PROSPECTUS for JOINT PROGRAMMES ABOUT THE IFVT: There has always been a mad rush of people aspiring to join the glamour world of Cinema and Television. However, there is no clear cut path carved out for their entry other than through the Film Institutes established by the Government. There is always a need felt by the Production Houses to have trained film makers and technicians for quality film and Television productions. Considering this huge requirement of trained professionals many private institutes have mushroomed in various places. However these Institutes also lack the trained faculty in various departments of film making. This has prompted few graduates from Film and Television Institutes of India to come together and thus the Institute of Film and Video Technology was established with a sole objective of providing professional education in Cinema and Television Technology. The IFVT endeavors to take Cinema Education to the places where Cinema is not made and Cinema is not taught. IFVT opens a window of opportunities to those who have no access to the world of Cinema. • Risk in Output Growth of Oilseeds in the Rajasthan State: a Policy Perspective
Agricultural Economics Research Review Vol. 18 (Conference No.) 2005 pp 115-133 Risk in Output Growth of Oilseeds in the Rajasthan State: A Policy Perspective P.K. Jain1, I.P. Singh2 and Anil Kumar2 Abstract Today, India is one of the largest producers of oilseeds in the world and this sector occupies an important position in the agricultural economy. Rajasthan state occupies a prominent place in the oilseeds production of India. The important oilseed crops of the Rajasthan state are groundnut, soyabean, rapeseed & mustard, sesamum and taramira. The growth pattern of these crops in the state has been prone to risk over time and across the agro-climatic regions because of the rainfall behaviour, prolonged drought- periods, limited water-resources and facilities available in the state Under such a situation, growth performances of these crops are subjected to high degree of risks in the sector. Therefore, it is important to describe the growth pattern of area, production and productivity, factors affecting acreage allocation under crops and magnitude of instability as well as its sources in major oilseeds crops of Rajasthan state. The fluctuating yield has been seen for almost all the oilseeds crops. However, the area and yield instability of the mustard crop has been found declining overtime plausibly because of increase in irrigation facilities, location-specific technologies and better input management. However, this needs to be further strengthened for improvement in the overall agricultural scenario. The acreage of the crops has been found to be governed by both price and non-price factors. Hence, price incentive alone has not been found to be the sufficient in bringing the desirable change in the cropping pattern as well production of crops.

Tour de India HOLIDAYS ‘The Queen of Thar’ JAISALMER Is an ancient battlement under desert skies! Backpackers Camping Tour Promotion Jaisalmer, Rajasthan - The fort of Jaisalmer is a breathtaking sight: a massive sandcastle rising from the sandy plains like a mirage from a bygone era. No place better evokes exotic camel-train trade routes and desert mystery. Ninety-nine bastions encircle the fort’s still- inhabited twisting lanes. Inside are shops swaddled in bright embroideries, a royal palace and numerous businesses looking for your tourist rupee. Despite the commercialism, it’s hard not to be enchanted by this desert citadel. Beneath the ramparts, particularly to the north, the narrow streets of the old city conceal magnificent havelis; all carved from the same golden-honey sandstone as the fort – hence Jaisalmer’s designation as the Golden City. A city that has come back almost from the dead in the past half-century, Jaisalmer may be remote, but it’s certainly not forgotten – indeed it’s one of Rajasthan’s biggest tourist destinations. Weather – Best time to go – The best time to visit Jaisalmer is in between the months of October to March. This is mainly so because the summer months experiences very hot and Tour de India HOLIDAYS humid weather conditions. If you are visiting Jaisalmer as a tourist, then the ideal time is the winter season. This is the best time to enjoy sightseeing and participating in outdoor fun activities like desert safari and camel rides. The temperature remains pleasant during daytime and cool at night. Shopping - Jaisalmer is famous for its stunning embroidery, bedspreads, mirror work wall hangings, oil lamps, stonework and antiques’; watch out when purchasing silver items: the metal is sometimes adulterated with bronze.
