Jaisalmer, Rajasthan - The fort of Jaisalmer is a breathtaking sight: a massive sandcastle rising from the sandy plains like a mirage from a bygone era. No place better evokes exotic camel-train trade routes and desert mystery. Ninety-nine bastions encircle the fort’s still- inhabited twisting lanes. Inside are shops swaddled in bright embroideries, a royal palace and numerous businesses looking for your tourist rupee. Despite the commercialism, it’s hard not to be enchanted by this desert citadel. Beneath the ramparts, particularly to the north, the narrow streets of the old city conceal magnificent havelis; all carved from the same golden-honey sandstone as the fort – hence Jaisalmer’s designation as the Golden City.

A city that has come back almost from the dead in the past half-century, Jaisalmer may be remote, but it’s certainly not forgotten – indeed it’s one of Rajasthan’s biggest tourist destinations.

Weather – Best time to go – The best time to visit Jaisalmer is in between the months of October to March. If you are visiting Jaisalmer as a tourist, then the ideal time is the winter season. This is the best time to enjoy sightseeing and participating in outdoor fun activities like desert safari and camel rides. The temperature remains pleasant during daytime and cool at night.

Shopping - Jaisalmer is famous for its stunning embroidery, bedspreads, mirror work wall hangings, oil lamps, stonework and antiques’; watch out when purchasing silver items: the metal is sometimes adulterated with bronze. There are several good khadi (homespun cloth) shops where you can find fixed-price tablecloths, rugs and clothes, with a variety of patterning techniques including tie-dye, block printing and embroidery.

Food & Cuisine - Jaisalmer is a desert spot with age-old culture and tradition. The cuisine of Jaisalmer is unique when compared to other spots in Rajasthan. Jaisalmer cuisine mirrors the richness in their culture and their closeness to the desert. You can easily find a rich wholesome meal here. Unlike other parts of Rajasthan, Jaisalmer does not rely more on oil or butter. You can find many dishes with shredded vegetables. Desert ingredients like beans, capers and spices are commonly used in this cuisine.

The spiciness of the dishes is moderate and thus, you can enjoy many items here without worry. If you have a sensitive stomach, you can request for a milder version. This place is famous for sweets. Bhang is a local drink made using edible cannabis. It is legal here and cannot be taken back to your place or to other states.

Tentative Tour Program Details: Day 01 JAIPUR – JAISALMER Arrive Jaipur and Pick Up at Airport / Railway Station as per your comforts – then can try for half day local sightseeing’s (Depends on arrival time each one of them) and then take Dinner by your own and after drop at railway station again to travel to Jaisalmer - Overnight journey

Day 02 JAISALMER LOCAL Arrive Jaisalmer Station – Pick up and check into the Hostel, for refreshments and then free your own still Noon. Then proceed to SAM SAND DUNES by Jeep or Car then do Camel ride for 4 Kms to see beautiful Sunset Point then go to Desert Camp location with welcome tea & snacks and then free at Dessert! Night Dinner with Rajasthani Cultural Dance; Overnight stay at Tent Camp

Day 03 JAISALMER LOCAL Beautiful Sunrise on Dessert then Breakfasts, Check Out – Proceed to go for Local City Tour Half Day – (Jaisalmer Fort, Patwon Ki Haveli, Gadisar Lake, Bada Bagh Possibly and mahara Palace Market) and after go for Non Tourist Desert location (SIALA DESERT); Go to the Dessert by Jeep or Car on sharing basis then go for Camel safari to reach camping spot; Free your own. Time for Dinner with Open Camping (Will provide – Turbans, Beds, Blankets, Water Facility, And Fresh Fruits) and also camp fire on Dessert, and then you get to sleep outside under million of stars! 

Payments: For all the services contracted, certain advance payment should be made to hold the booking, on confirmed basis & the balance amount can be paid either before your Tour (in around India / departure from your country or upon arrival in INDIA but definitely before the commencement of the services. Management personnel’s hold the right to decide upon the amount to be paid as advance payment, based on the nature of the service & the time left for the commencement of the service. Cancellation Policy: In the event of cancellation of tour / travel services due to any avoidable / unavoidable reason/s we must be notified of the same in writing.
