RALEIGH LITTLE THEATRE XI CAST BIOGRAPHIES CRISTINA ALBA (Ensemble) is very excited to join Raleigh Little Theatre for the first time. She graduated with a BA in Psychology from Elon University, where she trained in both opera and musical theater. Cristina would like to thank her sisters and parents for encouraging her to find her way back to musical theater.

AMANDA JANE AXELROD (Ensemble) is thrilled to be making her Raleigh Little Theatre debut. Her recent local roles include Burning Coal Theatre’s Oakwood: 150 Years Young, Forest Moon Theater’s Vanya and Sonia and Masha and Spike, and Burning Coal’s educational show ShakeScenes. She would like to thank Stuart, Annabelle, Oliver, her parents, extended family and friends for their love and support. Thank you to the entire production team, cast and crew for this magical experience!

BENAIAH BARNES (King Darling III) is no stranger to the stage; you may recognize him from some of his previous roles in Three Little Birds and Sister Act. This is his first time as a member of the Cinderella cast, and he is beyond thrilled to join such a distinguished group of actors who have portrayed King Darling III before him. He is grateful to the entire Raleigh Little Theatre family and God for the opportunity to share art and his gifts with the world.

MADDIE BEHRENS (Mouse/Pony) is thrilled to be back at Raleigh Little Theatre for her 2nd Cinderella! She’s a 6th grader at Our Lady of Lourdes Catholic School. Recent theater credits include NC Theatre’s Annie (Orphan), RLT’s Junie B Jones (Grace) and OLLS Drama Club’s Beauty and the Beast (Silly Girl). Big thanks to Mike, Jess and the entire Cinderella crew and cast. Another big thank you to her parents and her biggest cheerleader, Libby!

DR. TIMOTHY CHERRY (Henrietta) is a retired art teacher and now makes and teaches pottery at Sertoma Arts Center. He made his stage debut at four at the Mt. Holly Church of God. Cinderella is the first story his mother told him and so it holds a special place in his heart. Tim expresses his deep appreciation to Raleigh Little Theatre, Dennis Poole, and his family: Katherine, Melinda, and his Sainted Mother, Daisy Cherry.

RYLEE DAVIS (Ensemble) is a recent graduate of Western Carolina University and will soon be attending the American Musical and Dramatic Academy in Manhattan. This is her th4 production with Raleigh Little Theatre, with her favorite roles including Christine in The Strawberry Girl (WTF) and Ensemble Player in Pippin (RLT). She is excited for the performance and wishes everyone a Merry Christmas and a Happy New Year!

TIM FITCH (Prince Charming) is excited to make his Raleigh Little Theatre debut as part ofCinderella 36. Many thanks to Mike McGee and Rachel Veazy for this opportunity, with hopes for many more. Tim’s previous roles in Raleigh include Sheriff in NRACT’s Bonnie and Clyde and Spike in Forest Moon Theatre’sVanya and Sonia and Masha and Spike. He hopes you enjoy Cinderella, and that you will return for future productions at RLT.

GREG HILL (Henrietta) is very excited to be a part of Cinderella 36. Thank you Mike McGee and his production team, for allowing him to be a part of the cast. Thank you Tim and Dennis for allowing him to shadow you, and thank you to Amy, Kenzie, and Kayla.

QUENTON HOCUTT (Gertrude) is 29 years old and loving this second chance of working on this project of Cinderella again! Especially as one of the iconic stepsisters Gertrude! This is his second production with RLT and has been in other musicals such as Into the Woods and Grease.

NIA JOHNSON (Page) is a year three student at East Garner Magnet Middle School. This is her second performance at Raleigh Little Theatre. Her previous credits include Honk Jr. (Ida) and Alice@Wonderland (White Rabbit). She would like to thank her friends and family for their endless love and support. XII RALEIGH LITTLE THEATRE CAST BIOGRAPHIES ALEX LEWIS (Ensemble) is from Panama City, Panama. He is delighted to join the cast of Cinderella for his second RLT Production! ANNA OLIVEIRA (Mouse/Pony) is a sixth grader at St. David’s School. This is her first stage performance and is thrilled to make her debut with Raleigh Little Theatre! She enjoys all things theatrical, as well as tennis and enjoying time with friends. She would like to thank her mom, dad, Callie, and grandparents for their huge love and encouragement.

RYANN KATHERINE PERKINS (Cinderella) is overjoyed to be fulfilling her dream of being a princess. With nine years and nearly 30 credits, Ryann considers theatre to be her greatest passion. Credits include Patty in Grease, Yvette in Clue, and Margot in Legally Blonde. She would like to thank Peggy, Jacob, and Mr. McClutchey for making her the performer she is today. KEITH PETERSEN (Ensemble) is thrilled to be performing in Cinderella. Keith is a Senior at Longleaf School of the Performing Arts and a lifelong theatre lover. He has been in many productions including Grace for President, Joseph and the Amazing Technicolor Dreamcoat, 13!, and Hairspray. He would like to thank his parents and his voice coach for all their help, as well as the crew for being so dedicated and kind.

RYAN PETERZ (Ensemble) graduated from University of Kentucky. This is his first RLT production. His favorite roles include Warner from Legally Blonde and ensemble role in Thoroughly Modern Millie. He would like to thank RLT for providing The Triangle community with the opportunity to participate in and enjoy drama, song, and dance.

M. DENNIS POOLE (Gertrude) is thrilled to return for his 21st year as Gertrude; however, this is his 22nd year in Cinderella because he played King Darling III in 1987. Since making his RLT debut in 1984 in Joseph and the Amazing Technicolor Dreamcoat, Dennis has performed in and worked backstage on over 100 shows. Many thanks to Mike McGee and Tim Cherry.

HANNAH SMITH (Helper) is excited to be a part of Raleigh Little Theatre’s 36th production of Cinderella. Hannah is a senior at Longleaf School of the Arts and is looking to pursue musical theatre in her future. Her favorite credits include Chloe in Be More Chill, Ariel in Footloose, and Beth Bradley in The Best Christmas Pageant Ever. Hannah would like to thank her family, friends, and the creative team for supporting her art endeavors.

SKYLAR SMITH (Page) is a current junior at Millbrook High School. She is thrilled to be in her first production with Raleigh Little Theatre! Skylar’s credits include Madame Thenardier in Les Miserables, Ms. Salt in Willy Wonka, as well as participating in Disney Performing Arts. She would like to thank her family and friends for all the love, support, and encouragement!

LIBBY SNOVER (Ensemble) has participated in many shows over the years, but this is her first show with Raleigh Little Theatre. She is so excited to be cast in Cinderella and to have the opportunity to work with all the amazing people at RLT. Her past credits include Beauty and the Beast, Les Miserables, and Little Women. She is planning to earn her Bachelors of Fine Arts in Musical Theatre.

NATALIA SOTO (Ensemble) is excited to swing into a new track in Cinderella! This is Natalia’s second time performing at Raleigh Little Theatre. She’s also worked with Theatre Raleigh, Burning Coal, Sonorous Road, and Theater Delta. Natalia was most recently seen performing in The Greenroom. Favorite credits: Wendla in Spring Awakening (NRACT) and Billie Jean King in Ashe in Johannesburg (Burning Coal). When she’s not in rehearsal, Natalia likes to stay at home and read books.

RALEIGH LITTLE THEATRE XIII CAST BIOGRAPHIES MICHAEL STOUDMIRE (Ensemble) is excited to be a part of Raleigh Little Theatre’s Cinderella tradition! A recent transplant from Hawaii, his most notable credits include Pablo in Sister Act, Uncle Fester in The Addams Family, Telly in Godspell, and Pig #3 in Shrek the Musical. He couldn’t think of a more magical way to bring in the holidays than with this amazing cast!

AURORA A. STRICKLAND (Mouse/Pony) made her acting debut when she was – 4 months old as Fairy Baby Bump in Bare Theatre’s one acts and most recently appeared as Sarah in Seed Art Share’s The Miracle Worker. She loves ballet and hip hop, and works as a teaching assistant for stage combat for young students. Aurora is thrilled to make her RLT debut and thanks the cast and crew for this wonderful experience.

ALLIE SULLIVAN (Ensemble) is thrilled to be working on such an amazing show! She is a recent graduate of Meredith College’s BA Theatre program, and a proud professor of theatre at Saint Mary’s School. She was most recently in Raleigh Little Theatre’s Divas! 2019. A huge thank you and break-a-leg to the cast and crew! Special thanks to Mike, and her family.

JULIA THOMPSON (Ensemble) is a junior at Enloe Magnet High School. This is her first Raleigh Little Theatre show! She has participated in numerous dance performances and loves singing, but is extremely excited to be in her first ever musical! She is immensely grateful for the best friends and family ever. She would also like to thank everyone a part of this production for making this an unforgettable experience.

LAUREN TOMPKINS (Stepmama) Lauren is excited to return to the Raleigh Little Theatre stage following the production of A Gentleman’s Guide to Love and Murder. Other credits include Bonnie and Clyde, Tony n Tina’s Wedding – Raleigh, 1776, Songs For A New World, Assassins. When not performing, Lauren enjoys music directing, and teaching voice lessons. She also recently started a monthly musical theatre cabaret series in Raleigh titled The Greenroom (check out our Facebook page!).

RACHEL ULLMAN (Helper) is thrilled to be joining the cast of Cinderella this Christmas. This spring Rachel will be temporarily relocating to Florida to work as a character performer at Disney World. Her recent credits include: Fractured (Solace Theatre), Treasure Island (Ceramic Goose), and Phantom of the Opera (STP). LAWSON WALKER (Mouse/Pony) is in fourth grade at Root Elementary. He is proud and excited to be in his second RLT production. Lawson would like to thank his parents, grandparents, brothers, friends, as well as his music and drama teachers for all of their love, encouragement and continued support of his theatrical endeavors.

LOREE WILKINSON (Fairy Godmother) is a graduate of Pepperdine University. She is a classically trained soprano. She is excited to be a part of her first Raleigh Little Theatre production. Some of her previous roles include Beth from Little Women (opera) and First Lady from Die Zauberflöte. She would like to thank her mother, Tracy, and father, Bill, for their love and support.

BRETT YATES (Ensemble) is elated to make his Cinderella debut and wishes the amazing cast massive compound fractures in their respective legs. Recent RLT credits include Pippin, Avenue Q, and the audience for A Gentleman’s Guide…twice! Anywho, a huge thank you to the amazing production staff, cast, crew, his beautiful, talented, all-around wonderful fiancé, Lauren, and YOU!

XIV RALEIGH LITTLE THEATRE PRODUCTION STAFF BIOGRAPHIES JESS BARBOUR (Choreographer) earned her BFA in Theatre from Elon University and studied at The Esper Studio in NYC. She has taught and choreographed all over the area, recently choreographing Be More Chill with NRACT. Performing professionally, she’s filmed on industrials, local and national commercials, voiceovers, television, independent and feature films. She is happy to be back for her second year choreographing Cinderella with this great team!

DENNIS R. BERFIELD (Production Manager/Technical Director) is from South Williamsport Pennsylvania. He attended Lock Haven University of Pennsylvania and graduated in 2008 with a Bachelor of Arts in Theater and a Bachelor of Arts in Communication Studies. He went on to pursue a Masters of Fine Arts in Scenic Design and Technology at the University of Massachusetts, Amherst. During his time in undergraduate and graduate school, Dennis worked at various regional and off-Broadway theaters as a Scenic Artist, Carpenter, Master Carpenter, Scenic Designer, Assistant Technical Director, Scenic Coordinator, as well as many other backstage production roles. After working professionally for a number of years, Dennis became an adjunct professor at Millinkin University in Decatur, IL and eventually went on to become the Technical Director at the University of Scranton in Pennsylvania.

MARIE BERRY (Mouse Nanny) is supervising the littlest cast members for her 17th year. She loves working backstage with auditions and dressing crews. During the day, she is a mild mannered librarian at Wiggins Memorial Library at Campbell University. Thank you to all of the Cinderella cast and crew especially mice and their parents and Mike McGee and Dan Eckert.

RUTH BERRY (Assistant Director and Makeup Designer) has been involved, in one way or another, with Cinderella for more than half her life (17 years) so to say it is a show close to her heart is an understatement. She was the first female Fairy Helper, as well as one of the first team of all female Fairies. This is her first year Assistant Directing.

JEREMY DAVID CLOS (Costume Designer) was studying Theatre Arts at Appalachian State University when he was assigned an internship under the tutelage of Ms. Douglas Haas Bennett, owner of the former Raleigh Creative Costumes and the first professional costume designer hired by RLT. After university, he went to work for “Miss Doug” for over 15 years, costuming countless productions through the stock from her shop. In 2001, he branched out and started his own costume company, selling historic reproduction garments to production companies around the world. Items from his design collection were featured on Glee, Imagination Movers, Jessie, True Blood, Longmire, and General Hospital. He also served as the Costume Designer for Raleigh’s Bare Theatre between 2005 and 2009 with his design for Titus Andronicus named as Raleigh’s best costume design for 2005 by the Independent Weekly. He sold his shop in 2016 and shortly after began working part-time in the RLT costume shop. He then joined the full-time staff of RLT in December of 2018 and has recently designed the costumes for Blood at the Root and Bob Marley’s Three Little Birds.

BRITTANY DINGLE (Assistant Choreographer) is excited to take part in Cinderella 36 as assistant choreographer. She recently has choreographed The Wiz and Frozen Jr. in the spring/ summer of this year. The whimsical cast and magical moments of this show makes Cinderella new and fresh every year.

ANDREA DREIER (Music Director, Keys) is thrilled to be music directing this year’s production after spending the last three years playing key 2 in the Cindy pit. Favorite past projects include shows you should not bring your children to see: Murder Ballad, Avenue Q, and Hedwig and the Angry Inch. By day, Andrea does communications and social media for a statewide policy and research nonprofit, the NC Justice Center.

RALEIGH LITTLE THEATRE XV PRODUCTION STAFF BIOGRAPHIES DAN ECKERT (Stage Manager) is excited to return for his 2nd year as Stage Manager of Cinderella. Dan joins Cinderella for his 20th year – previous roles on the show include Assistant Stage Manager and Deck Crew Chief. He has served as Stage Manager and ASM on over 30 RLT productions in addition to backstage and production staff roles on more than 120 RLT productions. Thank you to Mike, Barbara, and Rachel – and to all the wonderful cast and crew!

TYLER ELROD (Assistant Technical Director) is RLT’s Assistant Technical Director, and has over ten years of experience as a professional Stagehand. Before moving to Raleigh he spent many years on the house staff at the Duke Family Performance Hall, at Davidson College. He built six shows’ worth of sets in seven weeks at the Ohio Light Opera, has set up massive sound systems and video walls in arenas and stadiums with IATSE Local 322, and has fabricated and installed counterweight fly systems from scratch with Custom Stage Services. He is a graduate of Catawba College with a BFA in Technical Theatre Design & Production. maryPaige HOPKINS (Production Assistant, ASM) is thrilled to be back at Raleigh Little Theatre once again. A few of their most recent credits include assistant directing both The Curious Savage and Sylvia (FMT), and deck crew for Next to Normal (NRACT). As always, mP is grateful that Mike allows them to tag along for his shows!

TODD HOUSEKNECHT (Sound Designer) has been very active in Community Theater in the Raleigh area for 11 years, providing set construction, technical direction, lighting design and sound engineering assistance for organizations that include RLT, Cary Players, NRACT, Forest Moon, and others. Highlights include Rocky Horror Picture Show, Hairspray, Legally Blonde, Spring Awakening, Cinderella, Spamalot, Hedwig, Sweeney Todd, and many, many others.

JOANNA LI (Music Supervisor, , Keys) is thrilled to return to Cinderella at Raleigh Little Theatre for the fourth year! Recent projects include Scottsboro Boys at Theatre Raleigh, Godspell at The Legacy Theatre (Atlanta),Cabaret at Playmakers Summer Youth Conservatory (Chapel Hill), and Fun Home at Virginia Stage Company (Norfolk). She is also a Production Music Supervisor for Norwegian Creative Studios.

MIKE MCGEE (Director) is excited and honored to be back for his 2nd year directing Cinderella. Mike is a Raleigh based actor and director. Favorite previous directing credits include Sylvia, The Curious Savage, and Vanya and Sonia and Masha and Spike at Forest Moon and The Portrait of Laura at Sonorous Road. He will be directing Lobby Hero at Forest Moon in June 2020. Favorite acting roles include Vice Principal Panch in Putnam County Spelling Bee and Willy Loman in Death of a Salesman both at Neuse Little Theatre and Oscar Madison in The Odd Couple with the Towne Players of Garner. JENNY MITCHELL (Costume Designer) is a Costume Designer here at RLT. She is thankful to have such a dedicated group of volunteers and co-workers to work with on this, and every, production. Her most recent credits include: A Gentleman’s Guide to Love and Murder, Pippin, Ken Ludwig’s Baskerville: A Sherlock Holmes Mystery, The Lion, The Witch, and The Wardrobe, Perfect Arrangement, and Little Shop of Horrors.

ELIZABETH NEWTON (Scenic Painter) is grateful for her continued relationship as a guest designer at RLT. Recent RLT designs include Pippin, Don’t Dress for Dinner, What We’re Up Against, Memphis, The Glass Menagerie, and Much Ado About Nothing. While currently based in Raleigh, Elizabeth has worked as a designer and scenic artist in North Carolina, Virginia, Oklahoma, Mississippi, and New York. She holds a BA in Theatre from Meredith College and an MFA in Scenic Design from The University of Southern Mississippi. In the Triangle, Elizabeth has collaborated with Theatre Raleigh,

She has also been the Scenic Designer for Regent University in Virginia since 2017. Favorite recent design credits include: Little Women the Musical (Regent University), Romeo and Juliet (Regent University), King Charles III (Burning Coal), Peter Pan and Wendy (Burning Coal), Oklahoma (Regent University), The Seagull (Regent University), Skylight (Burning Coal), and Freud’s Last Session (Tidewater Stage).

CHARLES PHANEUF (Executive Director) is a Raleigh native who returned to the area and to RLT in 2012. He was previously Managing Director of Joe’s Movement Emporium, a multi-disciplinary performing arts center located outside of Washington, DC, and Associate Managing Director at Shakespeare Theatre Company during the expansion into the Harman Center for the Arts. Charles is a founding member of the Capital Fringe Festival and Bohemian Caverns Orchestra, both in Washington. He is a UNC-Chapel Hill alumni, President of the Friends of the Gregg at NCSU, and is serving on the Dix Park Master Plan Advisory Committee. Charles was named “40 Under 40” by the Triangle Business Journal in 2014, and Tar Heel of the Week by the News and Observer in 2018.

PATRICK TORRES (Artistic Director) has been a professional director and educator for over 15 years. Prior to joining RLT, he served as a Directing Fellow at Shakespeare Theatre Company, Associate Artistic Director of Young Playwrights’ Theater (YPT), and Director of Middle and High School Programs at Creative Action. His work as a freelance director has been seen at The Kennedy Center for the Performing Arts, The Southwest Shakespeare Festival, Round House Theatre, The Source Festival, and the Hangar Theatre, among others. He served as the Assistant Director for The Glass Menagerie starring Sally Field at the Kennedy Center through an award given by the Society of Stage Directors and Choreographers. In 2003, he was selected as a Drama League Directing Fellow and in 2005 was named a Young leader of Color by the Theatre Communications Group. As an educator, he developed the After-School Playwriting Program for YPT which won the National Arts and Humanities Youth Program Award from First Lady Michelle Obama in 2010. Patrick has a Masters of Fine Arts from the University of Southern Mississippi. He would like to thank his wife and family for their support.

RACHEL VEAZEY (Assistant Director/Assistant Stage Manager) is excited to be involved in Cinderella for the second year. Rachel has a psychology degree from UNC Chapel Hill, and her Masters in Genetic Counseling. She assistant directed Forest Moon’s production of Vanya and Sonia and Masha and Spike, and was recently seen as Eleanore in NRACT’s Bonnie and Clyde, and in the ensemble of Cary Players’ Joseph and the Amazing Technicolor Dreamcoat. Rachel’s favorite roles include stage managing for Plaza Suite, and performing as Maud (The Music Man), Jennie Mae (The Diviners), and Wendy Jo (Footloose). She would like to thank Mike for his guidance and support, and her family for their endless love!

CAILEN WADDELL (Lighting Designer) is excited to be designing another production at RLT. He believes he has squeezed more lighting fixtures into this theatre than there have ever been here before and is quite proud of this. He would like to thank his wife, Liz, for listening to the of the show on repeat for weeks at a time while he worked on the lighting cues.

BARBARA WITHERWAX (Assistant Stage Manager) has been in love with theatre and RLT since 2014. She has participated in over 30 productions on run crews, as Crew Chief (for deck, lights & sound) Assistant Stage Manager, and on set-build crews.
