Creating a new genre of music from the ethnic diversities of Asia.. initialing an international recording project of this scale from Singapore... working with some of the finest artistes and musicians from India to China, Malaysia to Japan... travelling halfway round the world to complete the project... working with an engineer who has mixed Grammy-winning albums... using some of the best studio facilities in the world... it was only a matter of time I that had the courage to embark on a seemingly impossible task such as this, which started as a concept in my mind several years back • Overcoming countless setbacks, rejections and failures, risking everything that I have (and don't have), including strained friendships through misunderstandings as I tried to realise a controversial concept as this... ! knew it was just a matter of time that I could put it all together - "Matter of Time"., a phrase so personal to me now, and yet so elusive when the project began almost two years ago... what exact musical direction to take, who are the artistes and musicians, where to find the resources? I fell, at times, fearful of the road ahead, not knowing where this was all going. But I was determined to see this through, and I look the leap of faith. At times, it was even frustrating.., imagine mixing and mastering the album, still with no title... I wanted a title that speaks of this journey and experience, and I prayed for one. "Matter of Time" came to me early one morning when I was driving home... it was just in time to incorporate it into the cover design! Looking back. it was a matter of Time that everything fell into place - The people involved, the resources that came along, the revival of traditional Asian music.. in fact, everything in this world is a Matter of time...
