As you will be aware, on 6 June 2012 the Mayor published consultation draft ‘Revised Early Minor Alterations to the London Plan’, which is aimed at ensuring the London Plan is fully consistent with the NPPF. My officers have reviewed your explanatory topic paper, and the associated appendices, and are content that it aligns with the minor alterations that the Mayor proposes for the London Plan, and represents a sensible and pragmatic response to the publication of the NPPF. The GLA’s view, expressed within the Mayor’s revised statement of general conformity dated 20 April 2011, and the subsequent statement of common ground between Haringey Council and the GLA, dated 31 May 2011, is that the Haringey Core Strategy is in general conformity with the London Plan. The Council’s proposed response to the publication of the NPPF is supported, and does not affect this view. Nevertheless, a number of detailed comments for your reference are provided within Appendix 1 which accompanies this letter. If you wish to discuss these comments, or any of the representations previously made by the Mayor, please contact Graham Clements ([email protected] / 020 7983 4265).
