You have rebuked the nations, you have destroyed the wicked; you have blotted out their name forever and ever. — Psalm 9:5 (NRSV) The Lord has made himself known the wicked are snared in the work of their own hands. — Psalm 9:16 (NRSV)

Those who know your name put their trust in you, for you, O Lord, have not forsaken those who seek you. — Psalm 9:10 (NRSV) For the needy shall not always be forgotten, nor the hope of the poor perish forever. Psalm 9:18 (NRSV)

Why, O Lord, do you stand far off? Why do you hide yourself in times of trouble? — Psalm 10:1 (NRSV)
