Bernal, 6 United States District Court for the Central District of California, George E. Brown, 7 Jr. Federal Building and United States Courthouse, 3470 Twelfth Street Riverside, 8 California, 92501-3801, the State of California, will and hereby does move to 9 intervene as a party plaintiff under Rule 24 of the Federal Rules of Civil Procedure. 10 This motion is based on this Notice of Motion and Motion; the Memorandum 11 of Points and Authorities in support; the Declaration of Enrique A. Monagas and 12 attached exhibits; the Proposed Complaint-in-Intervention; the separate Motion to 13 Shorten Time; all pleadings and papers filed herein; oral argument of counsel; and 14 any other materials that may be presented to the Court at the hearing. 15 Because the State’s Motion to Intervene is made in connection with, and in 16 support of, Plaintiffs’ Motion for Preliminary Injunction (Dkt. No. 15), it is outside 17 L.R. 7-3, which exempts motions made “in connection with . preliminary 18 injunctions.” In all events, California met and conferred with the parties regarding 19 this motion.
