Russell McCutcheon, Conductor

Russell McCutcheon started in radio doing nights and weekends at GC‐101 “The Best Variety of Country” (WYGC) in Gainesville, Florida in 1993. He was a regular guest host of the Friday “All Request Drive Home” on GC‐101 and voiced many commercials for area merchants.

Over a period of years, he was heard on the air at 100,000 watt KTK 98.5 “The Best of the 70’s, 80’s, and Today” (WKTK) where he was an announcer (disc jockey) and local producer of the national nightly call‐in request show “Delilah After Dark” as well as “The Sky” 97.3FM NewsTalk (WSKY), where he served as a producer of the Joe Young show and the morning news block. He remains active in voice production, most recently voicing the Gettysburg College Athletic Hall of Honor video series for Gettysburg College’s O&B Club.

Russell McCutcheon is the Director of Bands and Associate Conservatory Director in the Sunderman Conservatory of Music at Gettysburg College in Gettysburg, Pennsylvania where he conducts the Wind Symphony, Sunderman Conservatory Symphony Band, and the Sunderman Chamber Winds.

In 2016, McCutcheon was named an American Prize Finalist in the Conducting: University and College Bands Division of The American Prize national non‐ profit competitions in the performing arts. Dr. McCutcheon is the founding conductor of the Atlantic Chamber Winds and is the Conductor and Musical Director of the Pennsylvania Lions All‐State Band.
