RAILROAD—CARRIERS—CANNOT DO EXPRESS BUSINESS.—Railroad companies, as common carriers, are not authorized to carry on an express business. SAME—SAME—RIGHTS OF EXPRESS COMPANIES.—As such carriers they are bound to provide for those doing an express business over their road reasonable and necessary facilities for such business, and to all upon equal terms. They cannot insist upon the exclusive right to do such business over their lines of road, nor grant such right to one express company to the exclusion of others, but are bound to carry for every one offering to do the same sort of business upon the same terms. EXPRESS COMPANY—RAILROAD REFUSING TO CARRY FOR.—Where an express company had, under special contract, been for many years engaged in that business over the system of roads controlled by defendants, and had built up a large and valuable business, and established valuable connections, all of which would be much depreciated if defendant should be allowed to refuse to further allow it to carry on such business over its line of road, held, that for that reason an injunction restraining such action might be granted.     Adams' Express and Independent Mail by Calvet M . Hahn On May 2, 1840, 35-year old Alvin Adams joined with P .C. Burke to ad- vertise in the Boston Notion the opening of a new People's Express that would run via the Stonington steamboats to New York, beginning May 4th . The timing of this new service, which was to be a direct competitor to the Harnden Express, was propitious . The Great Western was sailing to England May 9th and Boston merchants might want to get goods and drafts on board . The initial advertisement gives to concept that was to dominate Adams' Express during its initial years . It reads : PEOPLES EXPRESS BURKE & CO'S NEW YORK AND BOSTON PACKAGE EXPRESS Office No 9 Court Street Boston and William st .' corner of Wall at, New York . The subscribers will go through in person DAILY, via Ston- ington and take charge of any Business that may be entrusted to their care . Bank Notes, Specie and all kinds of Small Packages will be forwarded by the Steamboat Train and delivered at any part of the City free of extra charge . They will also attend to Purchasing Goods, Paying and Col- ecting Notes Drafts and Bills and will transact with prompt- ness all business entrusted to their care . CHARGES TO CORRESPOND WITH THE TIMES . All packages should be directed to the care of Burke & Co . and sent to No. 9 Court st ., Boston by 3'/z o'clock P.M . or to William st . corner of Wall st .     XVI Entrega Anual del Latin GRAMMY 2015 1 Grammy Latinos 2015 La artista mexicana Natalia Lafourcade se llevó cinco galardones, mientras que Juan Luis Guerra consiguió el de álbum del año La cantautora mexicana Natalia Lafourcade ha sido la triunfadora de la XVI entrega anual del Grammy Latino al obtener cinco galardones, pese a que Juan Luis Guerra se llevó la categoría estelar de álbum del año, con «Todo tiene su hora». Lafourcade, quien estaba nominada en seis categorías, se llevó de principio a fin la ceremonia gracias a su álbum «Hasta la raíz», que realizó al lado de Leonel García. La cantautora mexicana ganó en las categorías de mejor ingeniería de grabación, mejor canción de rock, mejor canción alternativa, mejor grabación del año y mejor canción del año. Natalia Lafourcade con sus múltiples premios durante la gala de los XVI Latin GRAMMY. Otro de los favoritos en esta edición junto con Lafourcade, el artista español Alejandro Sanz, se tuvo que conformar con el Grammy Latino a mejor álbum vocal contemporáneo por «Sirope». A su vez, el cantautor mexicano Leonel García, quien también estaba nominado en seis categorías, sólo obtuvo las de mejor canción del año y mejor canción alternativa, ambos en colaboración con Lafourcade. Juan Luis Guerra, quien ganó en álbum tropical contemporáneo y en canción tropical por «Tus besos», se convirtió en la sorpresa en la parte final de la ceremonia al llevarse el premio de mejor álbum del año por «Todo tiene su hora». «Quiero compartir este premio con los demás nominados. Es un gran placer siempre estar con ustedes.
