In terms of implementation progress, technical design documents of almost all the physical investments have been completed. Out of the total 27 Bank- financed contracts, 14 have been procured and the rest are on track to be procured. Another 22 contracts have been procured through counterpart funding as part of the project. Appropriate sites were selected for the temporary sediment stockpile and the tourism information center and thus relevant pending issues from previous missions were satisfactorily resolved. The PMO and PIUs, under strong leadership of the municipal government, are implementing the project at full speed with coordinated efforts. All the four components progressed significantly.
