Apologies were received from Councillor C Smith and the reason accepted. Apologies were also noted from District Councillor Harvey. 2003/02 PUBLIC ADMISSIONS TO MEETINGS ACT (1960) There were no items of a confidential nature that required the public or press to be excluded. 2003/03 DECLARATIONS OF INTEREST The Declaration of Interest Register was presented to and completed by Members. 2003/04 QUESTION TIME D R A F T No questions. 2003/05 POLICE MATTERS Police data online from January 2020: On or near Huddersfield Road Anti Social behaviour On or near M1 Anti Social behaviour On or near Park Lane Burglary x 1 - investigation complete; no suspect identified On or near sports/recreation Burglary x 3 – investigation complete; no suspect identified On or near The Croft Burglary x 2 – investigation complete; no suspect identified On or near M1 Services Other theft x 2 – investigation complete; no suspect identified https://www.police.uk/west-yorkshire/WDT_NER/crime/ 2003/06 YORKSHIRE SCULPTURE PARK Helen Featherstone gave her report: • the opening this weekend had been popular. • It is the last weekend of the event in the Chapel. • There will be more exhibitions opening on 2 May in The Weston and the Chapel. • Exhibition opening in the upper space in the main visitor centre by Brian Fell (metal sculpture). • the decision has been made to extend the winter pass to an annual pass for residents in Bretton and Haigh. Members thanked her for attending and were pleased to note the extension of the winter pass, which has been greatly appreciated by the residents of Bretton and Haigh. 1 2003/07 BRETTON HALL Nothing to report. 2003/08 HIGHWAYS ISSUES District Councillor Sanders reported the combined capital programme for 2020/21 and the “Streets for People” project. He also reported that the budget for Traffic Regulation Orders is £50,000 per annum. 2003/09 MINUTES OF COUNCIL MEETING – 10 February 2020 It was proposed by Councillor Hodgson, seconded by Councillor Hofton and resolved that the minutes of the meeting held on 10 February 2020 be received and signed as a correct record, subject to the following corrections: Cricket Club grant £200 not £300 and School £360. 2003/10 NOTE UPDATES ARISING FROM MINUTES Nothing to update. 2003/11 CLERK’S REPORT Action Plan The feasibility of siting a tree on the A636 Denby Dale Road, in the wider verge area approaching the roundabout, be investigated with the District Council. WMDC – Report from District Councillors District Councillors reported the following: • June Drysdale, who had been a District Councillor for more than 12 years, passed away on Tuesday 3 March. Her funeral is to be held at St Peter’s Church, Woolley on Thursday 19 March at 2.30 pm. • amendment to the District Council budget: a proposal had been made to put money into the budget for servicing rural villages with bus service/swimming pool for this side of District. Unfortunately, this proposal was not passed but had received good publicity. • attending a briefing on flooding in the District. • sitting on the Selection Panel for the appointment of a Service Director for Planning, Transportation and Highways following the resignation of Mr N Rodgers. D R A F T Members thanked Councillor Sanders for his report. The next meeting of the Parish Council will be held on Monday 13 April 2020. The meeting closed at 8.07 pm.
