    Amy Crain is a 23-year old graduate of the University of Arkansas with a Bachelor of Arts in Communication (Class of 2011). At Miss Arkansas Amy won a $20,000 scholarship provided by the Skokos Foundation and Citgo and more than $50,000 in awards, wardrobe, transportation and gifts. She represented Arkansas as the 2014 Miss America Pageant which returns to their home in Atlantic City this September. During her year as Miss Arkansas 2013 Amy will make appearances across the Natural State serving as Arkansas’ spokesperson for the Children's Miracle Network and the Arkansas Children's Hospital, and promoting her personal platform of "Bullying- Prevention and Recovery.” She will also promote the Miss Arkansas Scholarship Pageant while speaking about the goals of the Miss Arkansas and Miss America System. Throughout her years of competing in the Miss Arkansas Program, Amy has won over forty thousand dollars ($40,000) in scholarships. Amy is a two time Miss Arkansas Buddy Coleman Memorial Overall Talent award recipient. She enjoys dancing for audiences of all ages. For her talent selection at this year’s state pageant she performed a crowd pleasing contemporary clogging routine to "Game Time". She was also named the Children’s Miracle Network Miracle Maker for being the top fundraiser for CMN in 2010. The point is that if anyone still is looking at this in the context of college sports, they hopelessly are blind to reality. The reality is that college sports is an increasingly gargantuan business.

At the meeting outgoing president, Mr. Ken Higgins, passed leadership of the league to president-elect, Mr. Tom White. CAP was represented by Brig. Gen. Vazquez, national vice-commander, and by Col. Leclair, Maine Wing commander, their wives and other CAP personnel. At the banquet, General Vazquez presented Mr. Higgins with an Award of Appreciation from CAP. Along with CAP, the BG VAZQUEZ PRESENTS A CAP PLAQUE TO MR. HIGGINS Air Cadet League of Canada is one of the largest participants in the International Air Cadet Exchange Program. A Training Leaders of Cadets course, hosted by Rushmore Composite Squadron, is planned for 14-15 September at Ellsworth AFB. The TLC course will be held in conjunction with a cadet Character Development Day and a meeting of the Cadet Advisory Council. TLC is essential for those actively involved with cadets at all levels. Each squadron is required to have at least two TLC trained senior members.
