Amy Crain is a 23-year old graduate of the University of with a Bachelor of Arts in Communication (Class of 2011). At Amy won a $20,000 scholarship provided by the Skokos Foundation and Citgo and more than $50,000 in awards, wardrobe, transportation and gifts. She represented Arkansas as the 2014 Pageant which returns to their home in Atlantic City this September. During her year as Miss Arkansas 2013 Amy will make appearances across the Natural State serving as Arkansas’ spokesperson for the Children's Miracle Network and the Arkansas Children's Hospital, and promoting her personal platform of "Bullying- Prevention and Recovery.” She will also promote the Miss Arkansas Scholarship Pageant while speaking about the goals of the Miss Arkansas and Miss America System.

Throughout her years of competing in the Miss Arkansas Program, Amy has won over forty thousand dollars ($40,000) in scholarships. Amy is a two time Miss Arkansas Buddy Coleman Memorial Overall Talent award recipient. She enjoys dancing for audiences of all ages. For her talent selection at this year’s state pageant she performed a crowd pleasing contemporary clogging routine to "Game Time". She was also named the Children’s Miracle Network Miracle Maker for being the top fundraiser for CMN in 2010. While competing in the Miss America system, Amy has raised almost $6,000 for the Children’s Miracle Network and the Arkansas Children’s Hospital. At this year’s Miss Arkansas Pageant Amy also won a Preliminary Talent Award, the Overall Dancer Award and was named one of the top five finalists for the inaugural Arkansas Quality of Life Award. For this award, she was recognized by the Former Miss Arkansas’ Association as one of the Miss Arkansas contestants who excelled in her commitment to community service.

This September in Atlantic City, Amy was named a Miss America Quality of Life Finalist, and also finished in the prestigious Top 15 at the 93rd Miss America Pageant which aired live on ABC. She also garnered a lot of National Media attention during the 2014 Miss America preliminary competition with her contemporary clogging routine to Heavy Action. One outlet even suggested that she “should be brought back to perform at the Super Bowl halftime show!”

Amy’s personal platform - Bullying: Prevention and Recovery - stems from a personal experience she endured in high school. She has now created the “All In” program for school students where she discusses her story and experiences as well as the actions students can take to ensure we are proactively working to end bullying for our youth. She created and hosted Bullying Awareness Week in Northwest and Central Arkansas. As Miss Arkansas she looks forward to sharing her platform with the audiences in the State of Arkansas. She also is the Founder of Courageous Ladies Overcoming Obstacles.

In 2010, Amy represented Arkansas in the National Sweetheart Pageant in Hoopeston, . While competing with other Miss America Organization State Runner-Ups, she placed in the top five and won interview and evening wear awards. Amy won the 2013 Miss Arkansas crown while competing as Miss Diamond Lakes.

She has also held the titles of Miss University of Arkansas, Miss Northwest Arkansas and Miss Greater Hot Springs.

While at the University of Arkansas, Amy was involved Lambda Pi Eta Honor Society and the Professional Development Institute. She has also served as a “Big Sister” for the Big Brothers Big Sisters Program in Northwest Arkansas. Amy has served as the graduation speaker for the “Be a Winner” program, was a featured reader for the Razorback Book Hogs program and served as part of the University of Arkansas’ delegation for Razorback Day at the Capitol in 2010.

In addition to her passion for dancing, Amy also enjoys singing. She has performed for numerous audiences including former President George H.W. Bush and has performed the National Anthem across the state and at many Razorback sporting events.

Amy is the daughter of Terri Crain of El Dorado and Jimmy and Sally Crain of Hot Springs. Amy is the granddaughter of Glendon Bassett and Mary Floyd Bassett of Greenwood, and the Great Granddaughter of the Late Glynn and Ruth Bassett of Greenwood and the late Homer and Johnnie Floyd of Washburn.
