Foreward The following pages tell the story of Alpha Delta Gamma: who we are, where we’ve been and what we are doing. If you look carefully, you’ll see clues as to where we are going. Our history was created by each and every brother who has worn our letters. Our future is shaped by our past so these pages are extremely important and valuable as to what we will still become. As with any organization, we have had our highs and had our lows. There have been good years and bad years. Whenever we have been faced with obstacles, the brotherhood has made it through and found a positive to further build our wall. That wall is strong and has protected us now for 92 years. I’ve been blessed to have been a member of Alpha Delta Gamma for 20 years, but that also means that I was not involved for much of our existence. I have, however, been privileged to have known many of the leaders that are mentioned in this book that have helped to tell our story. Every one of them did so with a love and a passion for ADG that has been an inspiration to me and countless others. We are ADG’s for life. I’ve often said that this fraternity is what you make it. The more you put in, the more you will get out of it. As you study these pages, I hope you too will be inspired for greatness to lead us into the future.     A Genealogical Report on the Descendants of Michael Horan and Mary Minnock by A.L. McDevitt Introduction The purpose of this report is to identify the descendants of Michael Horan and Mary Minnock While few Horans live in the original settlement locations, there are still many people from the surrounding areas of Caledon, and Simcoe County, Ontario who have Horan blood. Though heavily weigh toward information on the Albion Township Horans, (the descendants of William Horan and Honorah Shore), I'm including more on the other branches as information comes in. That is the descendants of the Horans that moved to Grey County, Ontario and from there to Michigan and Wisconsin and Montana. I also have some information on the Horans that moved to Western Canada. This report was done using Family Tree Maker 2012. The Genealogical sites I used the most were Ancestry.ca, Family Search.com and Automatic Genealogy. While gathering information for this report I became aware of the importance of getting this family's story written down while there were still people around who had a connection with the past. In the course of researching, I became aware of some differences in the original settlement stories. I am including these alternate versions of events in this report, though I may be personally skeptical of the validity of some of the facts presented. All families have myths. I feel the dates presented in the Land Petitions of Mary Minnock and the baptisms in the County Offaly, Ireland, Rahan Parish registers speak for themselves. Though not a professional Genealogist, I have the obligation to not mislead other researchers.

    Amy Crain is a 23-year old graduate of the University of Arkansas with a Bachelor of Arts in Communication (Class of 2011). At Miss Arkansas Amy won a $20,000 scholarship provided by the Skokos Foundation and Citgo and more than $50,000 in awards, wardrobe, transportation and gifts. She represented Arkansas as the 2014 Miss America Pageant which returns to their home in Atlantic City this September. During her year as Miss Arkansas 2013 Amy will make appearances across the Natural State serving as Arkansas’ spokesperson for the Children's Miracle Network and the Arkansas Children's Hospital, and promoting her personal platform of "Bullying- Prevention and Recovery.” She will also promote the Miss Arkansas Scholarship Pageant while speaking about the goals of the Miss Arkansas and Miss America System. Throughout her years of competing in the Miss Arkansas Program, Amy has won over forty thousand dollars ($40,000) in scholarships. Amy is a two time Miss Arkansas Buddy Coleman Memorial Overall Talent award recipient. She enjoys dancing for audiences of all ages. For her talent selection at this year’s state pageant she performed a crowd pleasing contemporary clogging routine to "Game Time". She was also named the Children’s Miracle Network Miracle Maker for being the top fundraiser for CMN in 2010. While competing in the Miss America system, Amy has raised almost $6,000 for the Children’s Miracle Network and the Arkansas Children’s Hospital. At this year’s Miss Arkansas Pageant Amy also won a Preliminary Talent Award, the Overall Dancer Award and was named one of the top five finalists for the inaugural Arkansas Quality of Life Award.
