Legfőbb érdek- lődési köre a Közel-Kelet modernkori konfliktusai, illetve kihívásai, tanulmányai során a héber illetve perzsa nyelvek fejlesztése mellett leginkább ezekre fókuszál. 2018 nya- rán a Honvéd Vezérkar Tudományos Kutatóhelyén gyakornokoskodott, ahol tanulmányt írt a Víz szerepéről a Közel-Keleten, valamint az ott dolgozó kutatók munkáját segítette, különböző anyagok gyűjtésével. ZSOLT SZABÓ (1986) graduated at the Arabic-History faculty of Pázmány Péter Catholic University, where he has learnt under the mentorship of professor Miklós Maróth. He studied Arabic history, literatue and language as well as universal and Hungarian his- tory. He received a diploma as a History teacher. He received a trainee position at the Hungarian Institute for Foreign Affairs and Trade (2012-2013). Currently he is a PhD student at the Eszterházy Károly University. The title of his thesis is: "The characteristics of African conflicts, their types, the efforts for their handling in the light of Hungarian Security Politics". BBC History, January Issue , 60-65 pp. SZAKALI MIKLÓS (1963) alezredes, hivatásos katona, jelenleg a NATO Nemzetközi Kato- nai Törzs, Védelmi Tervezési és Képességek osztályán teljesít szolgálatot. Az Óbudai Egyetem Biztonságtudományi Doktori Iskolájában gyarapítja ismereteit, mint a másod- éves doktorandusz hallgató. Kutatási területe a biztonság és a védelmi tervezés köl- csönhatásainak vizsgálata. A napjainkban megjelenő biztonsági kihívások új, komplex formáit és azok megelőzésének és kezelésének lehetőségeit vizsgálja. Vizsgálja a NATO védelmi tervezési rendszerének (és általában a védelmi tervezési rendszerek) alkal- mazhatóságát az új típusú kihívások kezelésére. SZALÁNCZI -ORBÁN VIRÁG (1984) logisztikai menedzser, közgazdász, jelenleg az Óbudai Egyetem Biztonságtudományi Doktori Iskolájában PhD hallgató. Kutatási terület: logisz- tika, hálózattudomány, közlekedés és szállítás-mint kritikus infrastruktúra, információ- biztonság, mesterséges intelligencia. Kutatási téma címe: Rendszerlogisztikai, bizton- ságtudományi és más interdiszciplináris tudományágak közreműködésével Magyaror- szág logisztikai szerepének növelése. SZILVÁGYI TIBOR (1971) híradástechnikai üzemmérnök, biztonság és védelempolitikai szakértő, a hadtudomány doktora (PhD), mérnök közgazdász; egykori hivatásos kato- natiszt, biztonsági és katonai elemző, volt katonadiplomata, egyetemi kutató és oktató. Jelenleg független biztonság- és védelempolitikai kutató, elemző és oktató, pilóta nél- küli repülőeszközök fejlesztésével és alkalmazásával foglalkozó szakértő, önkéntes műveleti tartalékos katona. Kutatási területe a Nyugat-Balkán biztonság- és védelem- politikai helyzete, valamint a pilóta nélküli repülőeszközök alkalmazásának műszaki, jogi és biztonsági aspektusai. El őször Irán geográfiai, politikai, vízrajzi helyzetét vizs- gálom meg. Majd kitérek a kialakult krízis f őbb elemeire, valamint arra, hogy milyen konfliktusok alakultak ki Irán, Irak, illetve Afganisztán között a víz hiánya végett. Ezt követ ően Benjámin Netanyahu izraeli miniszterelnök videó üzenetére reflektálok, melyet a diplomáciai kapcsolatok hiánya miatt, az inter- neten keresztül juttatott el az iráni lakosokhoz. Itt igyekszem egy rövid, átfogó képet nyújtani az izraeli – iráni kapcsolatok fejl ődésér ől, illetve hanyatlásáról. Ezek után rátérek Izrael geográfiai, illetve vízrajzi helyzetére, kés őbb az Izrael- palesztin területekre vonatkozó vízzel kapcsolatos megállapodásokra térek ki. Ezt követ ően rátérek Izrael és Jordánia között aláírt megegyezésekre, legf ő- képpen azokra, melyek a két ország fontosabb vízellátó rendszereit érintik. Jor- dánia geográfiai, illetve vízrajzi helyzetére ezt követ ően térek át, ismertetem a felmerül ő nehézségeket, problémákat. Tanulmányom végén megvizsgálok né- hány izraeli megoldást, melyek akár a fent említett másik két ország vízgaz- dálkodására is hasznosak lehetnek. Majd egy összegzéssel zárom. First, the age of the rift sequence hosting the deposits and, second, the nature of the fluid pathways for the mineralizing fluids. Laser ablation-inductively coupled plasma mass spectrometry (LA-ICPMS) U-Pb isotopic analysis on one igneous sample of the Makgabana Hills rhyolite (Kgwebe Formation) within the central Kalahari Copperbelt in Botswana constrains the depositional age of the unconformably overlying Ghanzi Group to after 1085.5 ± 4.5 Ma. The statistically youngest detrital zircon age populations obtained from the uppermost unit of the Ngwako Pan Formation (1066 ± 9.4 Ma, MSWD = 0.88, n = 3), the overlying D’Kar Formation (1063 ± 11, MSWD = 0.056, n = 3), and the lower Mamuno Formation (1056.0 ± 9.9 Ma, MSWD = 0.68, n = 4) indicate that the middle and upper Ghanzi Groups were deposited after ~1060 to ~1050 Ma.

The costs of the participation of experts from countries in transition, as well as the travel expenses of the ECE secretariat, were covered by extrabudgetary funds that had been made available from Finland, Germany and Italy.

Paltridge 10 May 2005. i ABSTRACT Predation by exotic predators (cats Felis catus and foxes Vulpes vulpes) is believed to be one of the factors that has contributed to the decline of medium-sized mammals in arid Australia. Other factors include habitat degradation by introduced herbivores (rabbits Oryctolagus cuniculus and grazing stock) and altered fire regimes after Aboriginal people moved into permanent settlements. In general, the impact of exotic predators on arid zone mammals is believed to be significant only when predator numbers have been elevated by increased food availability from exotic prey species (rabbits, house-mice Mus domesticus, cattle carcasses) or when native prey populations have already been dramatically reduced by competition from introduced herbivores. In much of the spinifex grasslands of the central Australian deserts, pastoralism never occurred, rabbit colonisation was extremely patchy and in some areas, traditional burning was still being practised when the extinctions commenced. None of the current models of mammalian extinctions adequately explain the declines in this environment.
