London Marylebone chilternrailways.co.uk Welcome from the Managing Director Dear Customer, I’d like to thank you for choosing Chiltern Railways as your train operator of choice. We’re continuously striving to be the best train company for punctuality and reliability, and I remain proud of the work our teams do across our routes to continue to give you a best in class service. Investment This year, we’ve been investing in making your stations better and have spent nearly £2 million across the network to make improvements to ticket offices, waiting rooms, cafes and toilet facilities. We’ve also launched a new on-board entertainment system called Chil.tv, which gives you complimentary access to tv programmes and news. We’ll continue to update you on these projects and we’ll be making even more improvement work in 2019. Our timetable Our Summer timetable has been very popular, so this Winter version will be mostly the same but with some minor improvements. For example, some of our Oxford to London Marylebone services will now be one minute faster following the Network Rail line upgrade at Oxford. If you do have any feedback about our timetable, we’re always happy to hear your comments so please speak to us at one of our Meet the Manager or Tweet the Manager events. Environment 2019 will see us work in partnership with Angel Trains to do some pioneering work to test a hybrid battery train, which will help us to reduce emissions and have a positive environmental impact. In addition, we’re also replacing the existing lighting at most of our stations with new energy efficient LED lights. Days Out We know that our customers enjoy a Day Out, so don’t forget when you travel with Chiltern Railways you get fantastic 2FOR1 days out offers to attractions such as Tower of London, Warwick Castle and Madame Tussauds - giving you twice the fun at half the price!
