The University of North Florida is one of 11 public universities in Florida. 5 UNF Women’s Volleyball 2011-12 General Information BENCH ASSIGNMENTS Facing the court from behind the media’s table, the visiting team is on the right and the home team is on the left. BENCH SUPPLIES The UNF Athletic Training staff will provide the bench area with towels, cups and a water cooler. Additional requests should be coordinated through Head Athletic Trainer, Fred Burnett. BUS PARKING Parking for visiting team buses are located behind the UNF Arena, behind the Administrative portable. ENTRANCE TO UNF ARENA Visiting teams and staff should enter the Arena at the lower-level entrance located behind the Arena. This entrance should be used for access to the facility for the game, as well as all practice. Public entrances typically open one hour (60 minutes) prior to tip-off. ELEVATORS An elevator is located on the northwest corner of UNF Arena for access from the ground floor to the concourse level. LOCKER ROOMS Visiting team locker rooms will be available for two hours prior. The locker room will be supplied with towels and a water cooler with cups. MEDIA CREDENTIALS All media credential requests and issues should be directed to the Media Relations Department. PARKING PASSES Requests for parking passes and issues should be directed to Associate AD of Facilities/Operations, Ervin Lewis. PRACTICES Scheduled times for visiting team practices will be sent by Our Women’s Volleyball staff prior to your game. Practices will be allowed and scheduled per A-Sun requirements. 6 Please note that locker rooms will not be available during practices. RADIO BROADCASTS Visiting teams wishing to broadcast from UNF Arena must contact the Media Relations Department. UNF provides one phone line for visiting radio. Any additional phone line requests should be made two weeks in advance. When UNF opened its T doors to 2,027 upper-division and master's-level students on October 2, 1972, no one imagined its full potential. The University was nothing more then four buildings in the woods, with faculty two years younger than the average student. We've come a long way in 35 years, thanks to alumni and friends who have helped the University of North Florida becon1e the region's premier institution of higher education. Today, UNF is a driving force in North Florida, with more than 16,000 students, five colleges of distinction and a beautiful campus bustling with intellectuaL cultural and athletic activities. UNF's annual economic impact is now nearly $1 billion. The momentum is growing every day thanks to people who are passionate about UNF and our con1n1Lmity. Graduates should enter through the back entrance of the Arena, and check in with graduation staff in order to receive their name card. Guests will be permitted to enter the Arena one (1) full hour before the ceremony begins. Each ceremony will last approximately one and a half (1.5) hours. The first row of seats in the Arena will be reserved for guests with mobility issues. Please be polite and have the rest of your party sit behind them in the second row, so as to leave first row seats available for those who need them.
