As a senator, she was the principal author of Republic Act 10639 or the “Free Mobile Texts During Disasters Act,” R.A. 10640 which streamlines the “Three-Witness Rule” of the Dangerous Drugs Act, R.A. 10883 which provides stiffer penalties for carnapping, and the new Closed-Caption law. She is also the main author of the “Masustansiyang Pagkain para sa Batang Pilipino Act” and very recently, the “Free Wifi and Improvements on Bus Terminal Law”. Senator Grace Poe initiated a new provision in all franchise laws to create jobs and employment opportunities for citizens. She is also a co-author of the MARINA Act, the GO Negosyo Act, Sugarcane Industry Development Act, and the Expanded Senior Citizens Act.
