Alphabet FC - Kremlin 3 : 1 Scorers: Ww (4.), Rr (46.) ***Nestor Aparatschik (54.) Penalties: 1 ***- Booked: --- ***Gerd-Liv Valla, Ludmilla Patina, Mikail S. Gorbachev, Natasha Nogoodnik The Letters climb past Kremlin on the table with this deserved and convincing win. But how will the next game against top team Mobsters go?
Sleep Wanderers - Gangsters United 3 : 3 Scorers: Dream (67., 79.), Desire (43.) ***Svarte Petter (27.) Penalties: - ***2 Sent off: --- ***The Joker (58.) Booked: Chantal, Desire ***Tony Soprano One of the top matches in this issue. The game had a lot of nerve, constantly going back and forth. Almost exactly even for the first hour, but then the Night Terrors had an upper hand after the Joker was sent off. However, they didn't manage to score enough with two penalties converted for their visitors, so they have to make do with one point.
Twin Peaks Owls - G.I.D. 0 : 0 Pretty much nothing happened in this game. Twin Peaks Owls remain undefeated at home, G.I.D. remain on exactly 50% score.
Car Park Rangers - Extreme 3 : 3 Scorers: Clark Kent (42.), Zatanna Zatara (4.), Buddy Baker (65.) ***Henry (34., 78.), Gerard (77.) Penalties: - ***- (1 missed) Booked: Terry McGinnis ***--- A match the visitors dominated from start till end, but that didn't prevent the Powers from getting a nearly lead, and then reclaiming it soon after the first equaliser. It was only after a good late game run that Extreme managed to save themselves one of the points.
Mishima Zaibatsu - Blue Revolution 3 : 2 Scorers: Devil Jin (23.), Hwoarang (54.) ***--- Penalties: 1 ***2 (1 missed) Booked: Devil Jin, Kazuya Mishima, Nina Williams ***Katsuhiro, Keho, Kiyoshi Despite the referee being exceedingly helpful to the visitors, the best team by far came out ahead in this prestiguous Janbu derby.
FC Mokum - FC Asskickers 1 : 2 Scorers: Eto'o (8.) ***Justin Credible (69.), Ric Flair (24.) The teams were almost exactly evenly matched in this game, but the visitors converted their small play advantage into a somewhat lucky win.

Kremlin - FC Mokum 1 : 0 Scorers: Boris N. Yeltsin (12.) ***--- Booked: --- ***Jenner Kremlin tamed FC Mokum rather well, only allowing a single shot on goal. When good old Boris converted one of their own chances, the deserved home win became a reality.
FC Asskickers - Mishima Zaibatsu 0 : 1 Scorers: --- ***Kazuya Mishima (72.) FC Asskickers gambled everything on one card, but didn't get their plan right. Better luck next time!
Blue Revolution - Car Park Rangers 4 : 1 Scorers: Kiyoshi (20., 68.), Kenichi (10., 44.) ***Hollis Mason (6.) Booked: --- ***Terry McGinnis, Zatanna Zatara A rather easy game for Blue Revolution; the Powers offered little, if any, resistance.
Extreme - Twin Peaks Owls 1 : 0 Scorers: Jol (38.) ***--- Penalties: - (1 missed) ***- Booked: --- ***Antonio Mora Extreme's single rough play point of the match was eaten by Trion, but that didn't matter much - they were the only team to get any shots, and won rather easily.
G.I.D. - Sleep Wanderers 0 : 1 Scorers: --- ***Dream (25.) Whoa! The Night Terrors were by far the strongest team on the field, but the Night Terrors got a few rare counter attacks, and converted one of them which became the only goal of the match. True robbery!
Gangsters United - Alphabet FC 1 : 1 Scorers: Vito Spetafore (89.) ***Annie Blackburn (59.) Sent off: Magica fra Tryll (81.) ***--- Booked: Scarface ***Qq, Uu, Vv Despite the higher placed team being at home, it was actually the visitors Alphabet FC that ran most of this match. However, the Mobsters fought ferociously in the last few minutes with only ten men on the field, and were awarded with a lucky point.
Lexington League Match day 7 ======
The Ages - First Men of Rome 2 : 2 Scorers: Cambrian (73.) ***Roberto Pruzzo (50., 61.) Penalties: 1 ***- Booked: --- ***Wotagoalus The Ages take their first home point of the season with a bit of help from the referee. The visitors ran this game, but the difference was small enough that the draw was plausible.
Studs First FC - Tamriel Athletic 8 : 1 Scorers: Arjen Robben (31., 90.), Jehane bet Ishak (41., 68.), Wayne Rooney (87.), Steven Gerrard (40.), Chris Kiwomya (38.) ***Urjabhi (9.) Penalties: 1 ***- Booked: --- ***Inial Sintav Tamriel Athletic have yet to win an away game this season, and were rather far from doing so in this game. To be fair, they did deserve three goals, but that wouldn't have been enough for any points either.
Greensleeves United - Feyenoord 0 : 1 Penalties: - ***1 Booked: George Robinson ***--- Amazing! Top team Feyenoord comes to Windsor Great Park, but is thoroughly outplayed. The penalty was in fact the only shot they got on goal! However, they scored on it, and got a very lucky win from that.
Erkrath Gladiators - Fjortoft's Friends 4 : 3 Scorers: Holger Frey (36.), Jochen Sproetel (62.), Guenay Attes (12.), Ragnar Huehnerbein (51.) ***Sobo (57.), Westhi (66.), Charly (26.) Booked: Holger Frey ***J.A.F. With good tactics and a fair bit of fighting spirit, Fjortoft's Friends managed to make themselves the better team of this matchup. However, the Lunatics were luckier, and thus claimed both points.
Slartibartfast FC - Thinkers FC 1 : 0 Penalties: 1 (1 missed) ***- (1 missed) Booked: Gargravarr, Jarvis Nunderway, Old Thrashbarg, Oolon Colluphid *** Baruch Spinoza, Blaise Pascal, Plato It came down to penalties to decide who won the big Mohoni derby. And since the home team got two attempts, they won it - and amazingly, no player gained a suspension!
Desassossego Blues - AZ 4 : 2 Scorers: Chevalier de Pas (17., 21.), Pero Botelho (56.) ***Opdam (25.) Penalties: 1 ***1 Booked: Pero Botelho ***Lindenberg, da Silva The Blues have been struggling more than I expected this season, but at least in this game, they showed strong play, winning easily and deservedly against their table neighbours AZ.

First Men of Rome - Desassossego Blues 8 : 2 Scorers: Wotagoalus (25., 72., 78.), Roberto Pruzzo (13., 54.), Christian Panucci (58.), Vincenzo Montella (82.), Daniele de Rossi (16.) *** Fernando Pessoa (71.) Penalties: - ***1 Booked: Wotagoalus ***Ricardo Reis The Toga Boys are rock solid at the Colloseum, unbeaten and only having dropped a single point. The challenge was way too tough for their visitors, even if the scoreline was somewhat overstated.
AZ - Slartibartfast FC 2 : 0 Scorers: Baretto (34.), da Silva (73.) ***--- Finally the first home win for AZ, when hosting a team that has yet to claim any points at all away from home. One goal in each half, and two rather comfortable points remain in Alkmaar.
Thinkers FC - Erkrath Gladiators 2 : 1 Scorers: Baruch Spinoza (67.), Occam (23.) ***Jochen Sproetel (45.) Booked: --- ***Guenay Attes For once, the Lunatics didn't have much in the way of luck; the game was a close one with a small advantage to the home team, and they managed to take that to a one goal win.
Fjortoft's Friends - Greensleeves United 8 : 0 Scorers: Charly (1., 11., 87.), J.A.F. (5., 42., 70.), Sobo (35., 50.) ***--- Booked: --- ***Henry Hallon Ouch! Lexington League seem a bit too high a level for Greensleeves this season; especially away. Whereas the scoreline flatters the home team a bit, the game really was an extremely clear affair.
Feyenoord - Studs First FC 0 : 4 Scorers: --- ***Chris Kiwomya (14., 86.), Arjen Robben (52.), Steven Gerrard (7.) Feyenoord's been strong at home so far, and almost played even with the table toppers in this one. Just almost, though, and the Legbreakers had an unbelievable efficiency, turning a small play advantage into a four(!) goal win.
Tamriel Athletic - The Ages 8 : 0 Scorers: Jeanne Frasoric (4., 48., 84.), Palonirya (9., 15.), Mzunchend (12., 74.), Eliza Pierrane (16.) ***--- Booked: Bumph gra-Gash, Palonirya ***--- As expected, a very easy home win. The Ages haven't been performing this season, and after grabbing a point already, clearly that was the effort of the weekend :)
Berkeley Conference Match day 7 ======
Sjokoladen BK - Saturday Morning FC 2 : 5 Scorers: Kotaro (90.), Melke Sjokolade (13.) ***Penelope Pitstop (67., 86.), Dr Elephant (71.), Magilla Gorilla (55.), Snagglepuss (57.) Despite a rather even match, the 2Ds proved very good at scoring on their chances. The away team was indeed slightly stronger from chosing the better strategy, but it was closer to a draw than a one goal win.
Springfield United - Coventry 1 : 0 Scorers: Duff-Beer (84.) ***--- Booked: Maggie Simpson ***--- Both teams in this match had 5 points before the game, and both were rock solid at home and abysmal away. It surprises noone that Springfield United, as home team, thus won the game, but the away supporters were getting their hopes up with a goalless score with only 7 minutes to go...
Brazil Star Conquerors - Dummys 0 : 1 Penalties: - ***1 Booked: --- ***Lee Towers An infernally boring match, but the referee decided to award the rougher team with a penalty which they converted for a rather lucky win.
Ladida FC - Harestua IL 13 : 6 Scorers: Pixie (14., 32., 61., 67.), Petra (1., 31., 51.), Blossoms (38., 48.), Dixie (80.), Trixie (46.), Fiona (19.) ***Reidar Skoien (8., 25., 31., 64., 74.), Sjur Ohren (50.) Penalties: 1 ***- Booked: --- ***Arne Bjarne, Reidar Skoien Goals! Tons of them! But the home team was significantly stronger, and scored quite a few more than their visitors, helped by a better strategy and the home advantage. Certainly looks like promotion for Ladida so far!
Call of Cthulhu - FC United 1 : 1 Scorers: --- ***Gary Neville (54.) Penalties: 1 ***- (1 missed) Booked: --- ***Adie Orr, Cristiano Ronaldo Despite it being bottom against table toppers, FC United were actually exceedingly lucky to escape with a point from this one. The Lurking Fear dominated the game most of the time, but still only saved a point through FC United missing their penalty.
PSV - Sheffield Thursday 2 : 2 Scorers: Rose Walker (15., 65.) ***Johnny Estrada (21.), Claudio Vargas (62.) PSV were unbeaten at home before this game, and with a good chunk of luck, it remained like that. However, the Owls deserved at least one more goal, so the Milwaukee Brewcrew had good reason to complain.
Berkeley Conference Match day 8 ======
Saturday Morning FC - PSV 12 : 5 Scorers: Snagglepuss (6 goal$s), Dr Elephant (12., 32., 72.), Penelope Pitstop (79.), Elmer Fudd (30.) ***Rose Walker (32., 85.), Mendez (6., 21.), Colina (64.) Penalties: 1 ***- Booked: Dr Elephant, Snagglepuss, Splinter ***Alex, Mendez, Rose Walker Another win for the 2Ds, and they have now climbed far up on the table. Maybe there's still hope for division climbing despite the bad start to this season?
Sheffield Thursday - Call of Cthulhu 2 : 0 Scorers: Jeff Cirillo (14.) ***--- Penalties: 1 ***- Booked: Doug Davis, Jeff Suppan ***Bokrug, The Haunted Palace The Owls went at this one with great fighting spirit, and that was what gave them the win. A three point weekend for them; not a bad performance at all!
FC United - Ladida FC 3 : 2 Scorers: Ritchie Jones (26.), Paul Scholes (74.) ***Princess (8.), Petra (17.) Penalties: 1 ***- Despite a mathematically almost exactly even match, FC United gets the win in this top derby with Ladida FC. Oil of Olay have every reason to feel robbed of a point...
Harestua IL - Brazil Star Conquerors 8 : 1 Scorers: Jo Henrik Tollefsrud (22., 37., 70., 81.), Reidar Skoien (29., 32., 45.), Erik Pettersvold (12.) ***Riqueme (11.) After a tough game away, Harestua IL return to familiar ground and performed a lot better there. The Brazilians took the lead after 11 minutes, but after that, it was only Harestua.
Dummys - Springfield United 1 : 0 Scorers: Gordon (26.) ***--- Booked: --- ***Duff-Beer, Moe's Utilising the home advantage well, Dummys managed to get a little play, whereas their visitors only got a single shot on goal. A deserved, if boring, win for the home team.
Coventry - Sjokoladen BK 1 : 0 Penalties: 1 ***- Booked: Hamilton Blushham ***Cuba, Graeme Le Saux, Kotaro, Radu Sjokoladen BK tried to fight themselves to points away against Coventry, and it almost worked - however, the referee wanted it differently, and the Sky Blues won the game by converting a late game penalty.
Kirkwood Showdown Match day 7 ======
The Potato People - the Professors of Jazz 3 : 1 Scorers: Earl Potato (6., 44.) ***Miles Davis (73.) Penalties: 1 ***- Potato People are giants at home and dwarves away. This was a home game, and predictably an easy win.
Dispelliarmus FC - Team Tobbi 8 : 0 Scorers: Clara Finningwater (9., 32., 40., 75., 87.), Albert Blackwater (17., 55.), David Pubbertere (30.) ***--- Eight points to Trion from the visitors, and consequently an even easier game for the Wiz Kids than it otherwise would have been.
Frackers FC - Dead Dino Storage 2 : 2 Scorers: Tyrol (78.), Apollo (56.) ***Enchant (6.), Wolverine (40.) Booked: --- ***Pagan's Mind Frackers FC fed Trion a point, but it was a lucky point. Despite a play advantage for DDS, they only managed a draw at the Battlestar.
Aa Fotballklubb - Gamblers United 2 : 1 Scorers: Luis Garcia (51.), Steven Gerrard (90.) ***Francesca Freezer (84.) Booked: Jamie Carragher, Momo Sissoko ***--- Aa Fotballklubb played a significantly better strategy, and that way gaining a decisive advantage over their Gambler opponents. Fighting for the win gave them two yellow cards, but no suspensions.
Al Rassan United - Interchangeable Parts 4 : 0 Scorers: Yoshimitsu (48., 89.), Velaz (12.), Tarif ibn Hassan (22.) ***--- Penalties: - ***- (1 missed) Sent off: Hazem (38.) ***--- Booked: Ishak bet Yonnannon ***--- The Parts put no importance in this game at all, and looking at the scoreline, perhaps that was a wise choice. They were higher on the table than their opponents before the game, though.
St. Helens - NotReallyNewBremenCyberdruids 0 : 2 Scorers: --- ***Samuel in the Sewers (25.), Storyteller's Friend (70.) NRNBC remain on steady course for promotion, although St. Helens actually did give them a run for the money and deserved a consolidation goal.

Penalties: 1 ***- Booked: --- ***Ben Dover, Derry Notthatbright Professors of Jazz get their first win of the season, and it certainly was deserved too! St. Helens had left themselves wide open for the Blue Notes' strategy, and we got a big score on our hands.

Penalties: 1 ***- Sent off: --- ***Ishak bet Yonnannon (2.) Booked: --- ***Hazem An impressive and deserved away point for Al Rassan, with ten men for 88 minutes no less! Maybe we're looking at another promotion candidate here...?
Interchangeable Parts - Aa Fotballklubb 8 : 1 Scorers: D1 (16., 19., 64., 83.), F6 (57., 77.), M2 (60.), D2 (47.) ***--- Penalties: - ***1 Booked: D1, F6 ***Peter Crouch Being back to caring about the results, the Parts show themselves rock solid. That's four straight home wins... are they exceeding manager Setzer's expectations?
Gamblers United - Frackers FC 0 : 4 Scorers: --- ***Apollo (39., 63.), Tyrol (48.), Cally (72.) Frackers FC remain at the very top with this deserved and convincing goal. They didn't allow a single shot against, so it was a rather comfortable win.
Dead Dino Storage - Dispelliarmus FC 10 : 0 Scorers: Green Carnation (47., 82.), Liquid Scarlet (26., 56.), Enchant (31., 68.), Wolverine (27., 33.), Tad Morose (63.), Symphony X (83.) ***--- A two digit win for DDS, clearly being stronger than their visitors by heaps and bounds. It will take a lot to prevent these guys from reaching Berkeley this time...
Team Tobbi - The Potato People 1 : 1 Scorers: Torbjoern 'Tobbi' Eriksen (64.) ***Peach Potato (9.) Despite Team Tobbi handing eight points to Trion, they actually got a bit of play in this one, and the playing manager himself secured a somewhat lucky point with a goal in the second half!

Only one manager silent this time, like last week.
Mishima Zaibatsu have increased their lead in the Premiership, having 14 points to Sleep Wanderers' 11. Blue Revolution and Gangsters United follow with 10 points each. In the relegation zone, we find FC Mokum and Twin Peaks Owls with 6 points each, and Car Park Rangers with 2 points. Sleep Wanderers remain luckiest, while Alphabet FC remain unluckiest.
The top of Lexington League didn't change much this weekend. Studs First FC lead, followed by Fjortoft's Friends and First Men of Rome. At the bottom, the Ages and Greensleeves United have two points each, with four points up to AZ, Desassossego Blues and Slartibartfast FC. Erkrath Gladiators remain luckiest, while Greensleeves United are now unluckiest.
FC United are still leading Berkeley Conference, but we now have Dummys closest, with 11 to 14. One further point behind, we find Ladida FC. Call of Cthulhu with 5 points and Brazil Star Conquerors with 4 points trail slightly, but there are four teams with 7 points each. Sjokoladen BK have still been luckiest so far, while Springfield United's karma issues remain.
Dead Dino Storage and Frackers FC defend their lead in Kirkwood Showdown, with 14 and 13 points, respectively. NotReallyNewBremenCyberdruids follow closest with 11 points. Team Tobbi have now claimed their first point, but have two points up to St. Helens in 11th. Gamblers United have still been most lucky, while St. Helens still haven't had the margins on their side.
Sleep Wanderers are now luckiest, followed by Erkrath Gladiators and Sjokoladen BK. The worst luck is still that of Alphabet FC, followed by Greensleeves United and Kremlin.
The home advantage ist still 7 VP. In the next issue, round 9 and 10 will be played. In addition, the third round of the Rosedale Knockout will take place.
