November 30, 2019 NL ADVENTIST eREPORT A digital publication brought to you by the S A C in Newfoundland and Labrador. BOTWOOD CHURCH Submitted By: Lois Gill On November 27, we held our monthly Friendship Supper, which takes place on the last Wednesday of most months. Since Christmas is on our doorsteps we ended November with a festive theme. The menu featured a Newfoundland Cold Plate, but with a vegetarian option. EARLY DECEMBER Early in December, the Dorcas ladies will be making and distributing fruit baskets to the shut-ins in our church family. SABBATH, DECEMBER 14th Our church Christmas Dinner is scheduled December 14, and will feature a full vegetarian ‘cooked dinner’ with all the trimmings. Everyone contributes, which makes it a delightful meal with our church family. The children also look forward to finding a gift under the tree. FRIDAY, DECEMBER 20th On the evening of Friday, December 20th, we will be holding our annual Christmas Program and Sing-a-long, entitled "Merry Christmas with Love." The program will be at 7:00 p.m, and all are welcome. Kim Furey is directing the program this year and everyone who can sing is invited to participate. Posters and invitations have been distributed to local businesses and family and friends. We're hoping to have the church bursting at the seams as we celebrate the very best Gift of all. Of course, there will be refreshments following the program, like any good Newfoundland celebration.
