UDDANNELSESADMINISTRATIVE OPGAVER No. However, back in the 1990’s in China, at Dalian Medical University, I worked as a course leader for several human anatomy courses. 3. ERFARING MED UNDERVISNING, VEJLEDNING OG EKSAMEN a. ERFARING MED UNDERVISNING Started teaching 1988. My teaching has mainly been focusing on human anatomy. However, recently at Lund University, Sweden, I also taught a course involving different subjects, such as anatomy, embryology, histology and physiology. The teaching formats include lectures and group problem-based learning (PBL) and group demonstration/instruction. b. ERFARING MED VEJLEDNING At Dalian Medical University I have been course leader for human anatomy for medical students for a year (1993-1994). At SDU, since 2018, I participated in teaching of anatomy on Modules 6 and 7. I participate in the instruction for dissection course for Module 2 as well. c. ERFARING MED EKSAMEN For all the courses I taught I also participated in writing examination questions and correcting the examinations. 4. METODER, MATERIALER OG REDSKABER Lecturing (overhead, PowerPoint, blackboard, Zoom online teaching), problem-based learning (PBL) for small groups of students, group teaching (dissection and demonstration of human body structures in laboratories). 5. UDDANNELSESUDVIKLING OG UNIVERSITETSPÆDAGOGISK (FØLGE)FORSKNING, HERUNDER PÆDAGOGISKE PRISER Back in 1990’s in China, at Dalian Medical University, I did research in pedagogy and I have published two pedagogic papers in human gross anatomy teaching. One of the papers was rewarded a pedagogic prize by the university. .

These laws have mostly been investigated independently and are often perceived as disassociated matters. Here we present a large scale investigation about the connection between these two laws using population and GDP data from almost five thousand consistently-defined cities in 96 countries. We empirically demonstrate that both laws are tied to each other and derive an expression relating the urban scaling and Zipf exponents. This expression captures the average tendency of the empirical relation between both exponents, and simulations yield very similar results to the real data after accounting for random variations. We find that while the vast majority of countries exhibit increasing returns to scale of urban GDP, this effect is less pronounced in countries with fewer small cities and more metropolises (small Zipf exponent) than in countries with a more uneven number of small and large cities (large Zipf exponent).
