LOGLINE Two Young European Actors Leave Their Countries to Follow Their Dream to Work in the Hollywood Film Industry LOGLINE Two young European actors leave their countries to follow their dream to work in the Hollywood Film Industry. !YNO#!I! !haring the same dream two young actors em$ark on a journey filled with desire, determination and disappointment Alessandro, a reckless Italian and Celeste, a prudent English cross paths at an Acting !ummer Program in London. Soon after they decide to move together to L' Stepping foot in Hollywood& they have different approaches and priorities) in the end they both have to take life changing decisions *I+E(TO+,! ST'TEMENT I $egan writing .lue Hollywood in /011& when I was still an acting student in L' Many years went $y, $ut the desire of making this film $ecame stronger each year !o& when the time came to choose a pro%ect for my thesis film at the London Film !chool& I had no doubt in my mind that this was the story I wanted to tell Filled with motivation and ingenuousness& I em$arked on an extremely challenging journey to make a feature length film with all the limitations entailed $y it $eing a student production. Amongst others3 a very low $udget 4560 0007 and a tight schedule 418 days7 for it to $e filmed in two different countries while still aiming at an industry standard result .lue Hollywood is the culmination of two years of incessant work and it was made possible by the unconditional support of an extraordinary team that motivated me all the way through In particular& I need to thank my Family& my (inematographer and my #roducer Without them& this movie wouldn't exist I $elieve that you can only tell stories that mean something to you and& as a young aspiring actor& I was constantly looking for movies related to the acting world The industry is full of movies a$out dancers& singers& musicians but I couldn't find anything a$out actors Having spent the last decade studying and trying to work in the film industry, I wanted to share my experience of what I learned $eing on the standard actor,s path It doesn't involve fame, glory or success but rejections& humiliations and a constant money struggle. When I was writing the script& I never had the presumption of teaching anything to anybody I just wanted to tell a story of two young actors who are completely different from each other and have the courage to leave their home countries to follow their dream I wanted to explore their relationship& friendship& love. And how their different approach to the profession could affect their lives I wanted to tell a dramatic story in a light manner) also, I wanted to use my Italian $ackground as an enrichment rather than a limitation, $y showing the pros and cons that many people would encounter by moving to a different country. My ultimate goal is to inspire and motivate aspiring actors to never give up and keep following their dreams& keeping in mind that talent isn,t enough However& with determination, study and perseverance the results& sooner or later& will arrive. If you love what you do, you will never regret your choice .ut if you don't enjoy the %ourney& then the destination could proba$ly not be as e2citing as you expected ('!T HELEN W'T:IN!ON as CELE!TE Helen is an actress from London. !he trained at The Drama (entre London, The .oris !hchukin Theatre Institute 4-oscow7& and with the National "outh Theatre #rior to this& she read English Language & Literature at University College London. But in Paul Howes CDS it is said that Dusty's version was recorded before Barbra Acklin's, but released after that one. And no indication that Dusty penned the lyrics. I'm a little confused, and wonder is there any referance to confirm the song's origin of lyrics to Dusty ? Re: Soulful Strut / Am I The Same Girl by Brian Posted: Mon Nov 12, 2012 8:42 am The song was written by Eugene Record (producer of many hits for The Chi-lites) along with Sonny Sanders. It was first recorded by Barbara Acklin (who was Eugene's wife) in September 1968 but not issued immediately. The producer George Davis took the track, removed Barbara's voice and replaced it with a piano solo by Floyd Morris. It was issued in the USA in November 68 going on to reach the US top 3 pop. It was a number onerecord in Canada. It was credited to Young Holt Unlimited (which in fact were the session musicians). Barbara's version was then issued in February 1969, but only reached number 79 in the US pop chart (it did better in the R&B charts).

Blues, as a musical form, has had and continues to have a profound effect on the entire music industry, both in the United States and abroad. Blues constitute a rich cultural entity in its pure form; but its influence goes far beyond this-for itis the bedrock of jazz, the basis of much of folk and country music and it is closely akin to gospel. But finally and most importantly, blues and its derivatives- and the concept of soul-are major factors in today's pop music. In fact, it is no exaggeration to state flatly that blues, a truly American idiom, is the most pervasive element in American music COVER PHOTO today. Ray Charles symbolizes the World Therefore we have embarked on this study of blues.
