Director and writer Tracey Larcombe is a TV Drama, short film, series and documentary maker who comes from a strong background in programme production for SKY & the BBC.

With a track record for directing intelligent, eye-catching projects in a variety of genres, Tracey is a natural storyteller who enjoys communicating with an audience in an engaging, entertaining & cinematic way. Tracey has directed two stand-alone episodes of BBC 1 drama ‘Casualty’ and has directed over 30 episodes of BBC series ‘Doctors’. She has just finished post production on 5 episodes of ‘Hollyoaks’ for Lime Pictures/.

As well as her regular TV drama directing, Tracey has a number of writing & directing projects in development. Including feature screenplay ‘Mother in the Cupboard’ written with David Baddiel, ‘Season To Taste – or How to Eat Your Husband’ a TV series, developed along with author Natalie Young, and ‘Time for Bed’ a low budget feature adaptation of David Baddiel’s best selling novel of the same name.

Her short film, ‘Being Lionel’ starring Lionel Blair, received excellent reviews within the industry, and was selected for the IFS Festival in LA and for a ‘Women in Film & Television’ special screening event in September 2014.

Background Tracey studied drama, theatre and film studies before spending two years working for the Essex Police Television Unit as a production assistant. Following a stint in the US as a nanny and runner for Channel 5 in Washington DC, she then spent 6 years working in project management for various advertising agencies in . For the next ten years she was producing and presenting sports and film programmes for the BBC and SKY and in 2007/8 spent a year in Los Angeles freelancing for Sky Movies & consulting for the UK Film Council US. In 2009 Tracey set up her own production company, Egg Creative. Through Egg, Tracey has produced, written and directed short films and documentaries as well as a diverse range of EPKs and DVD Extras for the film and home entertainment industry.

Junkets & Presenting work During her time at Sky Movies, Tracey wrote, produced and presented Monthly ‘Sky Movies Drama’ show featuring, junkets, set visits, promos & features on upcoming releases at the UK Box Office & Sky Movies content. As well as covering various festivals, including Cannes & Berlin.
