The band played their first show at a local club in front of an audience of family and friends who gave them a positive reception, although, by the band's own admission, they gave a bad performance. Ariel said of the performance: Our passion for music was there, all that was missing in the sound that paid off with enthusiasm. Over the next two years, the band toured the Midwest and released two EPs, Icon for Hire EP (2008) and The Grey EP (2009).
