Nov 30 concert features a rare, complete live performance of Smith's debut album and other favorites

Brooklyn, NY, Oct 11, 200~n November 30, BAM proudly presents Patti Smith in concert at the Howard Gilman Opera House. Smith-joined by band members Lenny Kaye (guitar), Jay Dee Daugherty (drums), Tony Shanahan (bass), Television founder Tom Verlaine (guitar), and special guest Flea from the Red Hot Chili Peppers-will celebrate the 30th anniversary of her highly influential debut album, Horses, in a rare, complete live performance. The event marks Smith ' s BAM debut . Patti Smith and her band, and BAM, will donate a portion of the concert 's proceeds to Gulf Coast hurricane relief organizations.

The concert will take place at BAM's Howard Gilman Opera House (30 Lafayette Ave). Tickets, on sale Oct 24 and priced at $20, 35, 40, and 45, may be purchased by calling BAM Ticket Services (718.636.4100) or by visiting www.BAM.org.

Horses, released in November 1975, was produced by John Cale and continues to wield an ~- -- - -nparalleled influence on rock music, style, and culture . To coincide with the 30th anniversary of ~ orses, Arista/Columbia/Legacy Recordings will release a two-disc set entitled Horses/Horses ~ n Nov 8. Disc one features the remastered original album; disc two features Patti Smith and her ~ and performing the album live at London's Royal Festival Hall as part of the 2005 Meltdown -0.;~ estival (which was curated by Patti Smith) .

BAM Harvey Theater is located two blocks from the main building at 651 Fulton Street (between Ashland and Rockwell Places) . BAM Rose Cinemas is Brooklyn's only movie house dedicated to first-run independent and foreign film and repertory programming . BAMcafe, operated by Great Performances , also features an eclectic mix of spoken word and live music on Friday and Saturday nights .
