1 As the president of the Board of Regents, State of Iowa, I am excited as we embark on the search for the next president of the University of Iowa. As we begin this process, I join all those who want to see the continued success of the university. Hiring a president is one of the most critical functions of the Board of Regents, and finding the next outstanding leader is the next step in continuing the upward trajectory of the UI.
The University of Iowa’s success, simply put, is the success of our state and nation. Through groundbreaking research and scholarship, world-renowned clinical care, and a classroom experience shaped by leading faculty, the University of Iowa is an institution of distinction. The positive momentum that is underway will provide the next leader of the university the opportunity to write the next chapter of the UI’s history.
