The executive director is assisted by the IU staff to whom program planning and implementation activities may be assigned. The executive director is responsible for the organization of all administrative and supervisory staff.

She is a liaison to senior leadership and responsible for the offices of Communications, Grants, Research and Development, and the Office for Dispute Resolution, as well as the Center for Schools and Communities (CSC), a satellite office of the CSIU located in the Harrisburg area. The CSC provides statewide technical assistance to schools and other child and family service organizations throughout the Commonwealth focusing on improving outcomes.
