This is one of the most exciting starts to a season ever experienced games and six Twenty20 matches, as part of a new domestic in NSW with the RTA SpeedBlitz Blues currently in India competing women’s competition. The Breakers are aiming for a fifth in the inaugural Champions League Twenty20. consecutive WNCL title this summer, and 12th overall, as well as the chance to become the inaugural women’s Twenty20 champions The tournament features the 12 leading domestic Twenty20 teams and play the Final live on Fox Sports! from around the world - representing Australia, South Africa, India, England, Sri Lanka, New Zealand and the West Indies. The teams On the international scene, we welcome the West Indies and will compete in front of frenzied Indian crowds, and a massive World Twenty20 Champions, Pakistan. The Sydney Cricket Ground global television audience, for a first prize of $US 2.5M. will host the New Year’s 3 mobile Second Test Match against Pakistan, as well as One-Day Internationals against both sides, and NSW will field a virtual international strength line up with Simon a Twenty20 International against the West Indies.     Section C C.1 Risk Management and Internal Audit Internal Audit The Directorate’s Audit Committee oversees, on behalf of the Director-General, the Directorate’s governance, risk, compliance and internal control environments, and provides assurance as to their effectiveness. The Committee acts independently of management. The EDD Audit Committee Charter was reviewed and agreed (with only minor amendments) in November 2012. There were no changes to the membership of the Audit Committee during the financial year. Annual and forward audit programs are guided by governance, risk and compliance programs and are supported by an Audit Recommendations Implementation Register. The Directorate’s three-year internal audit program was agreed by the Senior Executive Committee and by the Audit Committee in November 2012, with the program including a balance of compliance and performance audits across the three years. A significant matter of interest for the EDD Audit Committee during this reporting year was the implementation of recommendations identified by the Auditor-General during the 2011-12 financial audit, to improve the control framework in place within the Directorate. By the end of the 2012-13 reporting year the majority of recommendations had been addressed and completed. The Audit Committee specifically congratulated the relevant areas of the Directorate on their work in documenting and improving governance and control processes. Four internal audits were completed during the reporting year, with a further three internal audits undertaken but not yet complete at the end of the year. The internal audits completed and presented to the EDD Audit Committee during the 2012-13 reporting year were: • Follow Up Audit – Territory Venues and Events – November 2012 • Review of credit card usage – May 2013 • Review of the payment of invoices – May 2013 • Review of salary acquittal reports – June 2013 The EDD Audit Committee met on six occasions during 2012-13.

    MEDIA RELEASE Haynes joins new faces in 2011/12 Lend Lease Breakers 1 June 2011 A number of new faces have been named in the Lend Lease Breakers squad for 2011/12, including former Victorian captain, Rachael Haynes. Selectors have chosen a squad of 22 this season. In a change from previous years, players from the Breakers Development squad will now be included in the Lend Lease Breakers squad, giving younger players more opportunity to work alongside seasoned international cricketers like Alex Blackwell, Leah Poulton and Lisa Sthalekar. Celebrating our students’ achievements and acknowledging their commitment to learning takes pride of place on our school calendar. This week is Book Week and, as is our custom, the Junior Campus staff and students enjoyed the opportunity to dress up as a book character to celebrate our love of reading and literature. Between thirty to forty senior campus students with a passion for writing participated in our annual Writers Workshop under the guidance of our teacher of English Ms Pippard and via skype with Eileen Chong who is a published poet. The genre is poetry and we again look forward to publishing the students’ poems in the Caroline Chisholm School Literary Journal 2015. It also gives me great pleasure to make special mention of 2 Junior Campus students who have been recognised this week for their outstanding commitment to reading: Congratulations Samantha Underwood and Cerys Wells from 1H on your 200 Nights of Reading Award.
