Attagenus punctatus is new for the Pomeranian Lake District, Anthrenus picturatus new for Lower Silesia, Reesa vespulae is reported from the Masovian Lowland for the first time, and Trogoderma angustum is newly reported from the Kraków-Wieluń Upland. KEY WORDS: Coleoptera, Dermestidae, new records, Poland. Wstęp W ostatnim dziesięcioleciu wykazano cztery gatunki Dermestidae niezna- ne dotąd z Polski (RUTA i in. 2004; BUNALSKI, PRZEWOŹNY 2009) oraz opu- blikowano kilka prac faunistycznych poświęconych wyłącznie omawianej ro- dzinie (KADEJ 2005; RUTA i in. 2005; RUTA i in. 2006; MIŁKOWSKI, RUTA 2008). Mimo to rozsiedlenie poszczególnych gatunków skórnikowatych w Polsce jest wciąż słabo poznane.

The present article summarizes 93 species belonging to the family Dermestidae (Coleoptera: Bostrichiformia) deposited in Museo Civico di Scienze Naturali Trieste. A new species Phradonoma zavattarii sp. nov. from Ethiopia is described, illustrated and compared with similar species. A new synonym is proposed for the species Attagenus rossii Ganglbauer, 1904 (= Attagenus bifasciatus var. decoloratus Mulsant et Rey, 1868 syn. nov.). The species Thaumaglossa postlimbata (Pic, 1948) stat. nov. is newly stated as an independent species. The following species are newly recorded: Attagenus aristidis (Pic, 1894); Attagenus brunneonotatus (Pic, 1894); Attagenus tessellatus (Reitter, 1887); Anthrenus (Anthrenodes) umbellatarum Chobaut, 1898; Anthrenus (Anthrenus) simonis Reitter, 1881 and Anthrenus (Anthrenus) x-signum Reitter, 1881 (all from Libya); Attagenus ornatus Háva, 2007(Eritrea) and Attagenus posticalis Fairmaire, 1879 (Ethiopia, Eritrea). INTRODUCTION The family Dermestidae (Coleoptera) currently contains about 1500 valid species worldwide (Háva 2015). The present article summarizes 93 species belonging to the family Dermestidae (Coleoptera: Bostrichiformia) deposited in Museo Civico di Scienze Naturali Trieste (Italy). MATERIAL AND METHODS Species are listed in alphabetical order and the nomenclature and zoogeography follow Háva (2007, 2015). -

Among historical beetle collections preserved at the Museum of Natural History, University of Wrocław, three deserve special attention. They belonged to famous pioneers of Silesian coleopterology, school teachers and amateur naturalists: Wilhelm KOLBE (1852-1929), Richard SCHOLZ (1866-1935) and Georg POLENTZ (1879-1965). Voucher specimens from these collections have been used in numerous faunistic papers, which are still frequently cited by modern entomologists, and they represent invaluable documentation of beetle diversity of pre-war Silesia, Sudety Mts and adjacent areas. Contributions of these early authors to the knowledge of beetles and their collections are summarised, with a brief biographical note on each of them. Key words: Insecta, Coleoptera, collection, Wrocław University, Poland, Silesia, types. INTRoDUCTIoN Within the present territory of Poland, the south-western region of Silesia has a particularly long and rich tradition of coleopterological studies. Natural sciences, among them entomology, attracted special attention in the second half of 19th c., when several prominent coleopterists initiated systematic faunistic studies focused on Silesian beetles. -

Rosalia (Nitra) 2009 20: 71–100 CHROBÁKY (COLEOPTERA) MASÍVU ROKOŠA A OKOLIA (STRÁŽOVSKÉ VRCHY) OTO MAJZLAN Univerzita Komenského Bratislava, Pedagogická fakulta, Katedra biológie UK, Moskovská 2, 813 34 Bratislava, [email protected] Abstract Majzlan O., 2009: Beetles (Coleoptera) of Rokoš Massif (Strážovské vrchy Mts.). Rosalia (Nitra), 20, p. 71–100. In years 2004-2009 we realized a faunistic research of beetles at 8 sites in natural reserves - in Strážovské vrchy landscape area. Using several methods we generally recorded 1079 beetle species. Several species (e.g. Rhysodes sulcatus, Cephennium slovenicum, Attaephilus arenarius, Cerophytum elaterolides, Necydalis major) indicate a high natural quality of the sites. The sites represent a valuable gene pool of Coleoptera and may be classified into the Natura 2000 network. Key words: Coleoptera, faunistics, ecology, Natura 2000 Úvod Stav poznania koleopterofauny Strážovských vrchov je uspokojivý len v oblasti Súľovských skál (KORBEL 1973). V roku 2004 sme spracovali lokalitu Karolintál, osadu v k.
