Civic Licensing Committee 31 March 2016 AGENDA ITEM NO 4 REPORT NO 132/16 ANGUS COUNCIL CIVIC LICENSING COMMITTEE – 31 MARCH 2016 DELEGATED APPROVALS REPORT BY SHEONA C HUNTER HEAD OF LEGAL AND DEMOCRATIC SERVICES ABSTRACT The purpose of this report is to advise members of applications for licences under the Civic Government (Scotland) Act 1982 and other miscellaneous Acts which have been granted/renewed by the Head of Legal and Democratic Services in accordance with the Scheme of Delegation appended to Standing Orders. 1. RECOMMENDATION It is recommended that the Committee note the licences granted/renewed under delegated authority as detailed in the attached Appendix. 2. ALIGNMENT TO THE ANGUS COMMUNITY PLAN/SINGLE OUTCOME AGREEMENT/CORPORATE PLAN This report aligns with the Local Outcome – Communities that are prosperous and fair. 1. We have a sustainable economy with good employment opportunities. 3. BACKGROUND 3.1 In terms of the Scheme of Delegation to Officers, the Head of Legal and Democratic Services is authorised to grant certain applications in connection with the Council’s licensing functions under the Civic Government (Scotland) Act 1982 and other miscellaneous Acts. 3.2 Attached as an Appendix is a list of applications granted/renewed under delegated authority during the period 25 January 2016 to 10 March 2016. 4. FINANCIAL IMPLICATIONS There are no financial implications arising out of this Report. NOTE: No background papers as defined by Section 50D of the Local Government (Scotland) Act 1973 (other than any containing confidential or exempt information) were relied on to any material extent in preparing this report.
