Sadio Mané erzielte einen Dreierpack, die anderen beiden Treffer markierten Mohamed Salah und Roberto Firmino. In Anfield spielt Porto jetzt eigentlich nur noch um die Ehre und einen ersten Sieg überhaupt gegen die Reds, nach einer Niederlage, die die höchste Tordifferenz nach einem Hinspiel in der UEFA Champions League darstellt. • Während die Portugiesen in ihren fünf Partien gegen den Klub von der Merseyside lediglich zwei Unentschieden und drei Niederlagen verzeichneten, stehen sie zum zweiten Mal in Folge im Achtelfinale. Ihre letzte Viertelfinal-Teilnahme datiert aus der Saison 2014/15. Liverpool war dagegen zuletzt 2008/09 in dieser Runde vertreten - damals schafften es die Reds auch ins Viertelfinale. • Porto zog als Zweiter der Gruppe G in die K.-o.-Phase 2017/18 ein, während Liverpool die Gruppe E als Sieger und ohne Niederlage abschloss (3 Siege, 3 Unentschieden). • Dies ist eines von nur zwei Duellen im Achtelfinale, in dem sich zwei frühere Europapokalsieger gegenüberstehen: Das andere lautet Chelsea FC gegen den FC Barcelona. Africa Cup of Nations stadiums The first African Cup of Nations (CAN) was organised in 1957 and has been held every two years since 1968. 16 teams have participated in each tournament since 1998. In 2010 the Confederation of African Football (CAF) decided to move the CAN to uneven years to avoid the event clashing with the FIFA World Cup. In the last six CAN tournaments all final venues have had a capacity over 45,000 and an average capacity of just over 58,000, which is comparable to the requirements UEFA has for the stadiums that stage the UEFA Euro final. However, the average capacity of the smallest venues used for the CAN is just 19,500 seats, which differs from UEFA’s minimum requirement of 30,000 seats. Both Tunisia and Egypt, who hosted CAN in 2004 and 2006 respectively, already had a decent number of stadiums available and did not make any major investments in new stadiums. Tunisia hosted the Mediterranean Games in 2001 and leading up to these games they constructed Stade de 7 Novembre, which after the 2011 revolution is now named Stade Olympique de Radès.

Dear Mr Van Den Berg, I. Introduction 1. I refer to your complaint of 6 June 2000, made pursuant to Article 3(2) of Council Regulation No.17, relating to an alleged violation by the organisers of the 2000 European Football Championships of Articles 81 and 82 of the EC Treaty. 2. On 18 February 2002 Mr. Pons on behalf of Mr. Schaub informed you that the Commission, according to Article 6 of Regulation (EC) 2842/98 of 22 December 19981, intended to consider that there were insufficient grounds for granting your application (“the Article 6 letter”). 3. This preliminary conclusion was in particular based on the fact that the Commission qualified the relationship between UEFA and its member associations with respect to ticket sales as a principal/agent relationship. Any limitations imposed by UEFA on its member associations could therefore not be regarded as a restriction of competition for the purposes of Article 81 EC.
