Issue 10.6 December 16, 2014 Avaliable Online at www. usd240.org Dear Santa, I know I haven’t been very good this year, but that’s besides the point. Jesus forgave me so you can too. I’m 10 now and I know your secret. You give us presents based on how good our cookies are. I bought these ones from the store, so if I wake up with cruddy presents under the tree, then we will have some problems. I expect to find an iphone, a wii, some ugg boots, a uni- corn, and I’m not talking about a stuffed animal. I want many other things, but you can figure them out. This is your last shot Santa. I am warning you.

Sincerely, Hannah Dear Santa, I would like a big bucket of hot wheels, and a basketball. I want the basketball so I can shoot baskets. I want the hot wheels so I can play with them when it is raining outside. I’ve been very good this year.

Sincerely, Grant The SHADOW

Jewelry is always a great gift for either parent. No matter the price, jewelry is an accessory anybody can appreciate.

A centerpiece for any room, flowers will liven up the house and spirits. Roses, tulips, chry- santhemums, or any flower is great for the season.

You can take a pic- ture from your child- hood and place it next to a very recent photo. The change in time makes a great keepsake. To Get Your Mother

New picture frames will revive old pho- tos around your house. Available at a number of places and in a plethora of styles and designs, some customizable, these frames can rebuild memories.

Along with pictures, wall art can give any space a new look. If your parents like type, then you could go with a canvas with type on it. Visual arts can also add a degree of intricacy.

A new invention was shown to me recently: the mini-me. You can send the company pictures of your- self, and they will make a doll- sized replica of yourself. This is for the “out-there” gifts that make the holiday unique. It will certaintly be a gift that is often called to mind. Dear Santa, For Christmas I would like a lava lamp, trampoline, Barbies, chess, jewelry, twister, Walkie Talkies, Nerf rebel, a guitar, and kinetic sand. I would still be grateful if you only brought me one of these.

Love, Adriana Dear Santa, I’m sorry I accidently left the fire on in the fireplace, and I’m also sorry for my brother shooting Rudoff. It’s not every day you see a 12-point buck on your roof. This year I promise to leave you some deer jerky. For Christmas I would like some more ammo for next year.

P.S. If you want to see him, he’s hanging in our living room.

Love, Littly Timmy

Dear Santa, I wanted you to know that I have been a very good boy this year. I have played nice with my siblings and completed all of my chores. I also got good grades on my report card. This year for Christmas, I don’t want much. I just want an Ipod, Ipad, Iphone, flat screen T.V, pet tiger, Lamborghini, Versace clothes, and new Jordans. Also world peace, I guess. Since last year you ate all of the cookies I set out. I’m setting out new gluten free cook- ies and a pumpkin spice latte. Santa, I have waited all year for you to come. I even cleaned the chimney so your suit won’t get dirty.

Love, Lil’ Jimmy Dear Santa, I hope that i have been a very good boy in your eyes this year, as it has been very dif- ficult for me to control my- self around all these dull- witted imbeciles. What I would like for Christmas is $100,000,000 or I shall incin- erate all people on the west coast with my “Giant Laser.” Please take this into consid- eration as I have tried to stay out of trouble... well, for the most part.

Oh yes, it’s that time of year again; when there’s love, happiness, and music in the air. Now, I’m all for the love of the season but NOTHING (and when I say nothing I mean NOTHING) annoys me more than the ridiculous falala of the Christmas carols that constantly fill the radios of the world.

Call me a Scrooge or call me the Grinch, but I absolutely HATE . It sounds like church music on complete repeat for weeks on end. I can’t even deal with it for a day. Of course, all these Christmas Tree huggers and do good carlolers IN- SIST on starting their holiday music at the beginning of November. Honestly, it probably wouldn’t be that bad if it didn’t start the day of Thanksgiving. If it were only for a couple weeks, I think it might be fine. But people insist on playing it for the whole month every single day. Let me tell you something, nobody has that much spirit. Who wants to hear about Decking the Halls for two months? Or how Silent the night is? It’s enough to make my ears bleed. It’s not even the fact that I hate Christmas, it’s the fact that all these Christmas joy spreaders feel the need to spread the joy for months before and after Christmas. I live in a time where Christmas is one day. One. That’s it. Not two days, two weeks, and sure as heck not two months.

I realize this sounds super anti-happiness but hey, I will not apologize for not wanting to have constant headaches. The month of December is already crazy enough and you have to fight people over the last Frozen doll or Spider Man action figure, but to throw frosty the snowman in the background is enough to make me want to commit murder. If you fill the need to HAVE to listen to the music for two months before the holiday than do it in your head- phones or in your room. Don’t make the rest of us want to hide in December.
