My aim is to highlight both prestigious vineyards and interesting lesser known producers of outstanding quality. We have been honoured to receive a three glass rating from the Gourmet Traveller Wine Magazine each year since 2010 and were delighted to be named Best Wine List in SA in 2013 and 2017. I would encourage you to stretch your legs a little and to browse the cellar....take the time to touch and inspect. Check out the rarities resting in our new climate controlled room, which keeps the wines at a constant 15ºC and 60% humidity. Once you have made your selection our waiting staff will be pleased to open the wine for you, and if necessary decant it. The focus of the list is on wines from the Limestone Coast and particularly Coonawarra, where Cabernet Sauvignon and Shiraz excel. This narrow strip of red terra rossa soil is just 60 kms north of The Barn and has been producing some of Australia’s greatest wines since the 1890s. We are also championing the wines from Australia's newest wine region Mount Gambier, which is already producing some very high quality Pinot Noirs. The wine list is a 'labour of lust' and represents the culmination of over 25 years of sipping and spitting and working with wine.
