There were some great individual wines and many pairs that showed the lineage and relationship that judges were looking for. There were also some lovely mature wines, but the real key to success in this class is mounting a compelling case across all three wines. The winning entries delivered that in spades, a strong thread of quality and character coming through at every stage of the wine’s evolution.
