The colour scheme is the same as the well-known colour scheme Swix has been using for ski wax since 1946. Each product has an extra hangtag that clearly shows the intended temperature range for using the product. Warm Cold Gloves & Mittens Chart If a ski and snowboard glove is too small, it will be uncomfortable. But if your ski or snowboard glove is too big, your hand will have a hard time warming up the inside. So selecting the correct ski and snowboard glove size is important. How to measure for a glove: For best results, take measurements of your width and length. Most gloves sizes are determined by width but some people have long fingers. Select your glove size to whichever is longer. When between sizes, go up a size. How to measure for a mitten: Take measurements of your width and length. Because mittens have more room, width is the most important measurement. Junior Glove Sizing: Please note that when junior and adult sizes overlap, junior fingers tend to be shorter and more narrow than adults. Since Juniors and Toddlers can vary significantly in size, we recommend using an age guideline. as opposed to actual measurement of the childs hands and fingers. 10 20 30 40 Length Measurement: Measure from the bottom edge of palm to the tip of your middle finger to determine your “finger length” size. 10 20 304 0 50 Width Measurement: Wrap a tailors measuring tape around your dominant hand just below knuckles, excluding your thumb, and make a fist. This measurment is your “hand width” glove size 8 / SWIX 17/18 Size Chart Womens Sizes XS S M L XL A - Body length - cm 160-163 164-167 168-171 172-175 176-179 B - Chest - cm 83 87 94 100 106 C - Waist - cm 62 68 74 80 86 D - Hip - cm 87 93 98 104 110 E - Inseam -cm 75 77 79 81 83 F - Sleeve length* - cm 74 76 78 80 82 Mens Sizes S M L XL XXL A - Body length - cm 176-179 180-183 184-187 188-191 192-195 B - Chest - cm 94 100 106 112 118 C - Waist - cm 80 86 92 98 104 D - Hip - cm 94 100 106 112 118 E - Inseam -cm 82 84 86 88 90 F - Sleeve length* - cm 85 87 89 91 93 Juniors Sizes 6 - 8 8 - 10 10 - 12 12-14 14 - 16 A - Body length - cm 116-122 128-134 140-146 152-158 164-170 B - Chest - cm 63 67 71 75 79 C - Waist - cm 57 59 62 66 70 D - Hip - cm 65 69 73 76 79 E - Inseam -cm 57 61 65 70 76 F - Sleeve length* - cm 59 64 69 74 79 * Should be measured from center back neck to wrist knuckle with slightly bent arm. • Rando – Introducing the World's First Ski Suit in 3-Layer Gore-Tex® Active
Press release February 2013 Rando – introducing the world’s first ski suit in 3-layer Gore-Tex® Active Perhaps the secret of Randonée lies in the contrast of struggling up the mountain only to later enjoy the ride down. Perhaps it is the science of finding snow that no one else has broken before. Or perhaps just to enjoy the vast landscape. Regardless of the reason, the activity places special demands on the equipment. For the 2013 winter season Haglöfs is introducing a new extensive collection for skiers who want to explore far away from the lift system and pistes. All of these products, which are gathered under the RANDO family, were developed with a focus on safety and being able to quickly and easily adapt the clothing based on changing weather conditions or whether you are headed up or down the mountain. One of this year’s big releases is RANDO AS SUIT – the world’s first ski suit in 3-layer Gore-Tex® Active. During its product development stage, Haglöfs focused on taking advantage of the properties of Gore’s Active technology in order to be able to offer the lightest and the most comfortable, waterproof and breathable skiing garment on the market. RANDO AS SUIT has an unembellished design, but with all of the product features a skier would expect, such as a helmet-compatible, adjustable 3-way hood, a DWR-treated outer surface and pockets strategically placed so that they are accessible even when carrying a backpack. The suit also has long, reinforced and waterproof zippers at the armpits and along the thighs in order to maximize ventilation.

GCSE MARKING SCHEME SUMMER 2016 DESIGN & TECHNOLOGY: TEXTILES 4131/01 © WJEC CBAC Ltd. INTRODUCTION This marking scheme was used by WJEC for the 2016 examination. It was finalised after detailed discussion at examiners' conferences by all the examiners involved in the assessment. The conference was held shortly after the paper was taken so that reference could be made to the full range of candidates' responses, with photocopied scripts forming the basis of discussion. The aim of the conference was to ensure that the marking scheme was interpreted and applied in the same way by all examiners. It is hoped that this information will be of assistance to centres but it is recognised at the same time that, without the benefit of participation in the examiners' conference, teachers may have different views on certain matters of detail or interpretation. WJEC regrets that it cannot enter into any discussion or correspondence about this marking scheme. © WJEC CBAC Ltd. Oth- erwise you’ll enjoy only a fraction of the performance you paid so dearly for...sorta like driving a Porsche with bald tires! Basic tuning and waxing isn’t rocket science. It doesn’t take much time to learn. It can save bucks and make your day on the slopes a lot more enjoyable. Armed with some basic tools and information, you can learn to tune and wax achieving the same results that you’d expect from a shop...and enjoy yourself in the process too. Here at Tognar we don’t try to be all things to all skiers and riders...we simply stock all the tuning and waxing stuff you’ll ever need, and provide the helpful info you’ll need as well. See you on the slopes! SKIVISIONS SKI SHARP One of our most popular tools. The SkiSharp files, bevels and pol- ishes both base and side edges simultaneously...instead of one at a time like other bevel tools. It features separate adjustments so you can choose different bevel angles for each edge surface in precise 1/4 degree increments from 0° to 3°. It includes a pair of replaceable mill file inserts for basic filing or beveling needs. Optional inserts include - Carbide Skiver blade (for rapidly “roughing-in” side bevel angles), Green Stones (for new skis/firm snow), Ceramic to sharpen & polish edges. The Stone grit can be refreshed almost indefinately with the proprietary diamond file.
